I hope this guy doesn't pull the same s*** that all bad pitchers do to us.

But this is an AL Central opponent. Don't we have like an .800 winning % against our division? (By the way, my 1st game thread ever. Here's hoping for a 1-0 start!)

The Indians' starter is still TBD but it is expected to be lefty Brian Tallet. Farmer seems to think it will be righty Jason Davis.

In any case, I hope Frank is back tomorrow although Carl had a good game.

The White Sox are 19-4 against AL Central opponents. Hopefully, Garland will get his 9th win and the Sox will run that record to 20-4. That's an amazing record against division opponents.  :gosox1:

And Minnesota is only 16-12 against the Central. As pesky as the Twins are, I hope this is indicative of how the division will play out. The only other team with such a lopsided record within their division is St. Louis at 20-4. That says something as well - the comparison between the Sox and Cardinals both dominating their divisions.

Scouting report from Espn.com:

Davis is a power pitcher who throws a fastball, slider and splitter. He throws between 92-100 MPH, most frequently around 94-95 MPH. As a starter, Davis had difficulties maintaining his stuff into the middle and late innings. He was prone to walks, balks and wild pitches. The Indians think they can reduce his margin of error in the bullpen, where he can throw between 95-100 MPH for one or two innings. In his seven appearances as a reliever, Davis had a 1.23 ERA. Davis is a defensive disaster. Despite a limited workload, he allowed a staff-high 18 stolen bases in 21 attempts, and his lifetime fielding percentage is .890

BTW, he is 1-3 with a 6.40era with 6 starts against us. Some of those numbers could be from bullpen work, also.

I like the fact he could be wild and allow a lot of basestealers.

If our guys are patient, we should have a good game.
