It was a perfect pitch to hit.  He had Hafner at 0-2 and he gave him a pitch to hit.  That was moronic.

Perfect pitch to hit, no. It was at his eyes but that being said you're right it wasn't a smart pitch, he got 2 straight sliders over, he should have went with it again.

It wasn't at his eyes. Regardless, he shouldn't be throwing Hafner a pitch over the plate when he has him 0-2. :rolly

What's it to you?

Any thing clever for Shingo or Konerko, wat about aj? he's been slumping a bit. I mean you have fantastic nicknames for a quarter of the team, cmon you can do better. I'm sure you have to hate atleast half of 'em.

Hell, you're supposed to like the team but you hate a majority of the players, just trying to get that straight. Being a pussy huh? Yeah, I guess that makes sense. :huh

One thing I noticed about the weaker links in our bullpen (particularly Cotts, Marte, even Visciano and Takatsu to a point)..

Have you noticed they are much better if they start OFF an inning (no outs, no one on) then when they come into a situation where there is two or less outs and runners are on?)..

I have observed this this season...for example Cotts was great when he pitched the seventh and eigth last night (he started both innings) -

but I bet if he came on during an inning with runners on..they would have scored..

Anyone else observe this?

wouldnt that make sense, not as much pressure is put upon you to get that key out, id feel better pitching with the bases empty than with on guy on
