Jabroni
I disagree with anyone saying Everett should be an option in the outfield. Our outfield defense has enough problems without having the worst possible outfielder out there in Everett. Everett also is very likely to get hurt if he's playing in the outfield. I don't know why this is a surprise to anyone that Everett might not get playing time. Everett knew this would be the case, and had no problem picking up his 4 million dollar option to likely be a bench player. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Everett didn't look bad in RF against the Cubs. However, I would be afraid to throw him out there on a windy day. I wouldn't mind seeing Carl in LF, Pods in CF, and Dye in RF if Rowand ever needs a day off though. SoxFan1
Back on topic seriously, Frank NEEDS to get at-bats. Having him with his high OBP will definitely helpl the yeam. He needs to do what the old Big Hurt did....walk and drive in runs.

sox-r-us
I really think Frank should start at 1B in the inter league games in the NL parks. Try him for a couple of games at least. Clearly Paulie is going through his off year (which he has every other year now). He is not going to turn it around, so might as well play the better bat. Frank will at least walk and get on base if nothing else. Paulie is just pathetic right now with his swing.

Guest JimH
Not gonna happen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's taking ground balls at 1B this weekend, it appears all parties concerned are considering the possibility at the very least.
Be Good
Frank better start these next two, otherwise it's going to be an 6+ games without starting.
southsider2k5
I'd like to seem him in the batters box, I guess he just can't run too fast though.
SoxFan1
I want to see Frank at DH today with Carl on the bench. Yes, Car lhas been hot but I want to see how Frank will affect the others in the lineup, especially PK.

JUGGERNAUT
Ozzie needs to be creative. Frank Thomas playing a whole game at 1B is major risk for injury. Frank Thomas playing a few innings at 1B is a much lower risk. The same can be said for Crede. Can Dye play an inning or two at 3B? He's a good athlete with a quality arm so maybe he can. That will help greatly. Because it can get Dye, Thomas, & Everett, & Konerko in the lineup at some point in the game. Outside of those changes you can always PH for Crede with Thomas or Everett for 1AB per game & use Ozuna to PR & replace Crede at 3B. This is one of the reasons why I think bullpen help is a greater need than a new 3B because you can work around the Crede hole. You can't do that in the pen. If you sit a guy (Shingo) he's just putting a heavier workload on the others.
