Thats the whole point.

Reminds me of another distinguished poster.

Qwerty.

How many one line posts did he start his Soxtalk career with? MERCY. I've never seen someone post "1-2-3" in a gameday thread more than him.

Still hating on me eh? :crying

Come on, you have to admit i am 1000000000000% better now and i actually think out things. I see plenty of people on this board now like i was then. Only difference is they don't post as often.

I'll gladfully admit it.

As numerous members have said before, it doesn't matter whether or not you post one word or several thousand. It's more of a friendly jab to point it out now.

I'd estimate of my first 1,000 posts on Soxtalk, 70% were devoted to gameday threads. I recall several instances where I exceeded 100 posts in ONE day. However, during that time there was no active chat room. People legitimately looked to the thread for updates of the game's progress. Still, I had my share of post-whoring.

Throw Crede under a truck and get Vinny Focking Castilla here please

For future reference

You can say f***ing on here, and IMO atleast, it is more meaningful and helps to prove the point more

Like for instance, 'Crede is a f***in dumbass who cant hit to save his life' is more powerful than 'Crede is a fockin dumbass who cant hit to save his life'

Get what I am saying?

QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 09:12 AM)
No thank you, i'll take a better hitter at 3B, like Huff

2005 Stats:

Chavez

YEAR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS

2005 54 213 23 49 10 0 5 28 17 49 0 0 .230 .288.347.635

Huff

YEAR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS

2005 52 191 18 47 8 2 4 32 20 32 6 2 .246 .324 .372 .696

You could change that statement to "just slightly" better.

Huff only advantage right now is his price tag, just over $4,000,000.

But Chavez has the gold gloves. Huff hasn't played 3b since last year and it still wasn't his main position.

Both are coming off of stellar campaign the last couple years.

It boils down to who you think will break out their funk.

Crede is NOT a GG 3B. Nor will he ever be a GG 3B. Crede might be the best 3B when it comes to fielding weak grounders that he can charge upon.

He's good at scooping it up & firing a strike.

But he is below average when it comes to a liner near the bag or in the gap. Even worse he is out of position 9 times out of 10 when it comes to receiving a throw at 3B. Some people think he's scared because he refuses to protect the bag. I just think he's stupid.

When you sum it all up he's above average at best at 3B. If I were the opposing manager I would run hit & run plays & steal froms 2nd all the time. If he's not going to protect the bag then it's wide open for the opposition.

Replacements: Crede is so piss-poor as a hitter right now that all other ML 3B are suitable.

What I don't understand is why do we think guys who just recently signed new contracts are available? Chavez 66M/6, Lowell 32M/4.

Crede is 6/61, Lowell is 8/36, Chavez is 10/50.

In the minors ...

Trace C 31 yr old CHA .321O, .459S, .286A

Slim pickings but maybe he can platoon with Ozuna while Crede figures it out in Charlotte.

I hope Crede sucks it up...Right now KW's gotta be flipping out with Joe.  Maybe an 0-15 stretch pushes him over the edge.  I'm tired of the Joe Crede era.  Bring on someone else.  Chavez, Randa, whatever...someone that isnt worthless.

...Like Vinny Castilla. Except he is worthless as well.....

back to the drawing board.

1 for 3 with a walk and a 2 run homer.

Come on Joe.  Keep getting those clutch hits to shut the haters up.  :cheers

With those kind of numbers it's going to take A LOT to shut your so called "haters" up. So I'd refrain from posting every HR Joe hits as a "I told you so" type of post because it's going to take a little more than one HR for people to be shut up about Joe Crede.

If there can be a billion "Crede Sucks" threads, I think creating a post giving Crede props is justified. :rolly

I'm not saying you can't give him props, my point was that Crede's play isn't going to be shutting anyone up anytime soon, regardless of a HR here or there. He's going to have to do a hell of a lot to get people on his side again.

I will happily eat a Joe Crede Crow pie if he turns around and has a decent season. I still dont trust him, but he has had a pretty good four game stretch here.

Dye on the other hand, looks downright dangerous everytime he is up to bat now. Dead is definitely alive right now.

Crede may be stubborn and thick headed but he is not stupid. He has not played up to his abilities and probably should be replaced. Evaluating his play is one thing. Judging the man is another. Unless you know him personally stick to your beloved stats and stop with the dumb-ass judgmental comments.
