1 word, and this is the final answer.

Cub.

Why isn't it obvious to you as it is to me???

If the Cub didn't exist, we'd be selling out. If we were in Wriggelyville, we'd be selling out. If we were cuddly, we'd be selling out.

It's just pointless to be brought up here.  The people on this board make it to the games whenever they can.  We have to be some of the more hardcore fans.  We're spending a great deal of our free time on a White Sox message board.  C'mon now.

I don't go to many games i am not gonna lie. But i still do by my fair share of sox merchandise. So i am still doing my part. This sunday i am going to the sox game because my sister works with sabathia's cousin and i get tickets to every game the indians are in town, but only went to about four of them last year. I also get to go in their locker room with his cousin. During the game i sit with the indians players families Shoot me. They all know me pretty well and we get along. Cc's mother and kid are both pretty fat and lawton has a hot sister ( always brought her friend with too, slurrrrrrrrrrrp). Coco crisps cousins is a funny f***er too, love that guy.

Oh and i don't know how many times i have been told i am not a true sox fan on this board because i love my...

I am waiting for you to respond to post #11 in this thread.

I will answer you in the form of a question, a la Jeopardy...

Why bother worrying about the attendance when you f***ing live on the west coast? Does it hurt your feelings that badly when the park is not full when you are watching Sox games from your home?

By the way, I have a Minnie Plan with my girlfriend and go to many other games and I still don't give a s*** if other people go to the games or not.

Of course so would 29 other GMs, but we would have more of a realistic shot to get someone like him when he is on the market because we would actually have the $ to even talk to him. Right now, we do not even bother thinking about the ARods and Tejadas of the world because we are forced to get DeAngelo Jimenez and Juan focking Uribe because we do not have the $ to go after the studs. ANd the reason we do not have the $ is because we do not have the attendance other teams do (not the only reason but a big reason)

I am going to be really pissed if we let Garland go in the offseason because we do not have the $. We need to re-sign Garland, re-sign Frank (at a new contract, not the one that exists), replace Paulie with at least a decent 1B and replace Crede with a better 3B to continue to be competitive.

We were going to pay Maggs Tejada money before his injured his knee remember. If you want to go for a team that spends $20 million on each player, go root for the Yankees or something. Just because you don't spend lots and lots of money does NOT mean you can't be successful. Look at Minnesota Twins and the Oakland Athletics over the past 3 to 4 years. It is hard, but yes it is possible.

Garland is going NOWHERE. We control his rights for 1 more season, and the Sox showed they are willing to resign these type of players who are in arbitration etc. Juan Uribe got resigned to a 3 year deal and so did Aaron Rowand.

Payroll has gone up continously over the past 4 to 5 seasons, there's no reason to think if we keep winning and make the playoffs, that won't continue.

Dude

I made it clear why I care. Because it affects the team's chances to sign studs. Read my posts again.

Sign studs? We already told you that Reinsdorf wouldn't spend millions on a guy like Tejada anyways. Not gonna happen, whether the attendance increases or not.

Let me see if I get this straight...

You don't go to games (because you live on the west coast) but you think you have a right to b**** about the attendance because the Sox won't be able to sign "studs" if the attendance doesn't increase. My f***ing God...

You were serious about it and you know it.

hell no I wasn't. I admit I was slow to crawl off the burning Crede bandwagon, but outside of "CMON TIMO!" he hasn't done anything else before that game. give me a little credit, if you're not going to hunt me down for suggesting we don't lynch Joe Crede.

I do not believe that one bit. Kenny would get studs if he could, no doubt in my mind. Yes, JR has had his issues in the past, but he has also doled out lots of cahs when we were selling seats at a higer rate than today. Remember Navarro? Albert Belle? Franks contract itself?

Yahtzee - obviously a very valid point, but I do not belive in a city like Chicago we cannot sell out both teams. Especially when we continue to win and be fun to watch

don't you realize the cycle of Attendance=More Money=Better Players=Better Team=More Wins=Playoffs=More Money=Even Better Players=Even More Wins=World Series. plus we'd have a real ballpark atmosphere, I'd like to hear everyone yell GOOOOCH when Iguchi bats.

Fly in for a Sox game sometime and I probably wouldn't care as much if you b****ed about the attendance. But you are living on the west cost and watching games on TV and you are still b****ing about attendance? Come on...

I don't care that you live on the west coast.  If you aren't going to Sox games yourself, you still have no right to b**** about the attendance.  It's pathetic.

Shut the fock up.

I beg to differ unless near heart attacks every game is what you consider ''fun''.

Close games tend to be exciting/fun. Yes, I would prefer the 10-3 blowouts too, but with this team, we know it will be a 3-2, 4-4, 6-4 grind it out all game situation

so, $150 total in plane tickets, $15 for parking, and the tickets themselves vary from $15 to $150+, depending on how many people are with him and what kind of seats? that's not really chump change.

$150 for plane tickets? Try $300 man.....nothing from the Northwest to Chicago is for $150, not even South west

Then keep your mouth shut and stop b****ing about the attendance like a woman. Unless, of course, you think that your b****ing like a woman will actually make the attendance increase.
