Kalapse
This is the most simple and absolutely true answer that you will ever recieve. They have to play two national anthems, American and Canadian. Hence the extra 2 minutes.

whitesoxin'
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) IN reality, that is when all games begin, they just don't publish it like that. ^Yeah that^ I was typing out a long winded response saying basically that when my computer randomly shut off. Next time you go to the game, watch the pitcher and ump. If it's :06 past the hour, they wait until :07 to throw the first pitch. If there are two national anthems to sing, they just start singing them earlier. Edited June 5, 2005 by whitesoxin'
Benchwarmerjim
The Twins start their home games at :10 after. I think that is for TV purposes, so there can be a pre game deal The D-Rays start theirs at :15 after. I dont know what. I assume the same thing
