Guest JimH
I didn't post any of the box scores from today but I noticed Gio Gonzales had another great start for Kannapolis in their win - only one hit allowed in 7+ innings and a bunch of K's. Charlotte lost and I believe W-S won. Robert Person was released by Charlotte earlier this week as well.
CWSGuy406
Thanks for the great info, Jim and Tom. Tom, how hard does Reynoso throw? While I'm not the biggest fan of just 'velocity' alone, it'll be nice to have a couple of fireballers in the Sox 'pen (hopefully) in the coming years. Plus 7K's to 2 BB is pretty good as well. Way to go Gio! Methinks a call-up is happening right after the draft...
Cerbaho-WG
Giovany with another one hit outing, god damn. Kanny wins I know the Sox want to take their time with Gio, but he needs a promotion so he can get challenged every once in a while.

aboz56
Looks like Charlotte scuffled at the plate. Gload was 1 for 4 with a triple. Adkins gave up 5 earned over 7, while Baj pitched a scoreless 8th with 2 K's as the Knights lost 5-3 against Indianapolis.
aboz56
W-S did win 10-9. Noah Hall 3 for 4 with a bomb and 3 RBI. Micah Schnurstein also 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. Valido 1 for 5 with 2 K's. Daigle 2 for 4, Collaro 3 for 5, each with a RBI. Fabio Castro bombed for 4 earned in relief in just 1.1 innings, still gets credit for a hold. Ehren Wasserman picked up the blown save and the win, era now at 0.69.

DBAHO
Anyone else think that Gio's season this year could be a carbon copy of B-Mac's from last year?
Jordan4life_2007
It's awesome to see Field's doing well. I seriously want him to put some pressure on Crede. Gio is sick. He needs to move up soon. Low a is no challenge for this kid.

Everything but the call up to Birmingham, they won't let him get there yet but everything might be close.

No, there's a major trend of lefties absolutely chewing up the low minors for some reason. I can't explain it, but a lot of them falme out pretty quickly. But then again, they rarely average 13Ks/9. RockRaines
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Anyone else think that Gio's season this year could be a carbon copy of B-Mac's from last year? I said that in another thread, I think they have alot of similarities in their approach as well. I think you need to promote Gio so he doesnt get in the groove of how to beat low-a guys, he needs to constantly be challenged.
