RockRaines
QUOTE(shakes @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) In 2002 it looked like Aaron needed more time. Hey, im with you, I think its better to keep Rogo down this year and give him time at AAA, but someone has to drive the other side of the argument. You've done an admirable job stating the other side of the arguement seeing how the guy who started the thread gave up after 1 post.

Its pretty hard to teach someone strike zone judgement. And if you look at some of our players, Kong, A-row, this theory seems to hold true. I think Rogo needs to move up soon to see if he has what it takes. And I also believe that Anderson is ready.
danman31
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) And I also believe that Anderson is ready. Anderson is close to ready, but he is in a bit of a slump. His average is at like .289 or something, the lowest I can remember it being at all year. I think the Sox should give him the call in September and see what he can do. Anderson needs to get called up during a solid streak, not a (semi) cold streak. As for Rogo, he's nowhere near ready. He's definitely come into his own though. While Rogo's power numbers aren't great, he does have 17 doubles and 24 extra base hits. Look for a good amount of those doubles to turn into HRs in Charlotte and Comiskey.
