wilmot825
Remember Kelly Dransfeldt, the 6'5" shortstop who was clutch last year. Why does no noe talk about him anymore and where is he? I like Dransfeldt and I would like to see him up the middle for the Sox.
sayitaintso
QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Remember Kelly Dransfeldt, the 6'5" shortstop who was clutch last year. Why does no noe talk about him anymore and where is he? I like Dransfeldt and I would like to see him up the middle for the Sox. I looked for him on the Sox's minor league teams, but he wasn't on them. So to answer your question, I have no clue.
sayitaintso
I searched his name on the minor league website and it said "No Results Found."

Ah, I've seen this before. I forget the medical name, but it's mainly referred to as Timo Perez disease.

SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Don't. He quit because he wasn't good. You beat me to the punch! Apparently he was "clutch"... No offense to him, but I just remember being annoyed the first two games I went to last year because I got lucky and picked games he was starting in... Jabroni
and what Norton is good... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Norton has actually had some success in the majors. Dransfeldt never had any.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) So I guess he quit baseball, feel bad for him... Why? He probably accomplished one of his lifelong goals in playing in the MLB, and to top it off, he had a game winning hit in the MLB too. He also was not good at all. No need to feel bad for him at all. Yeah but when you get drafted in what was it the 4th round you expect to be in the majors or at least your dream is.... I dont think that dream was too spend most of his career in the minors and only highlight of his big league career would be to hit a game winning single in a regular season game vs the Orioles... qwerty
During Kelly's professional career he was selected to numerous All-Star teams and finished his professional baseball career in 2004 with the Chicago White Sox. How many all star games can a career .243 minor leaguer be in?
TLAK
I can't find him either and assume he's retired. Between 1871 and the end of last season there have been 14,733 major league baseball players with an at bat. You can query any of them at Baseball Refrence. Kelly Dransfeldt is one of them, are you? As 'bad' or 'turd' as some of you guys want to label him, he accomplished something that has been the dreams of millions on millions but very few have done. He was a Major League Baseball Player. I'd give my left nut to be able to say that (and dissolve my right one with steroids, if that's what it took).
GoodAsGould
While it would be awesome to have 1 major league ab... I dont think its worth my left nut.
