fathom
This is the inning where we need to get something going. If Pods gets on, we need to put him in motion.
fathom
These are some of the worst ABs we've had all season.
greasywheels121
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Hawk and DJ just said we're not "winning ugly" this year......anyone else disagree with that statement? I'm thrilled with our record, but it's not like we've been playing beautiful baseball that will amaze an audience. It's not all ugly, as some would perceive. Milkman delivers
The s***fest continues. I started typing this when Rowand went down 0-2 because I already knew the at-bat was over. This is sad, really.
fathom
Absolutely pathetic. Are we back to struggling against any pitcher making his first start against us? Not only that, it seems all of our players are swinging at balls, and taking strikes again. Like others have said, Buehrle needs to throw a shut-out. fathom
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) It's not all ugly, as some would perceive. Fair enough, but it's definitely not "beautiful", as Hawk and DJ said it was.
fathom
Buehrle's 1-2 pitch to Jackson looked like a strike, but the no-call results in a hit for Jackson.
WHarris1
Big big AB here w/ Nevin - just huge Awesome, first pitch inning over Edited June 12, 2005 by WHarris1
SnB
buehrle being a stud tonight, picking up a sleepwalking offense.
Milkman delivers
Scary inning again. Get some runs, Sox...for the love of God.
fathom
Have we ever seen a curveball from a pitcher? It seems like it's a broken record, but all you have to do is throw a 3-2 offspeed pitch to our hitters, and they look like they're totally fooled. Milkman delivers
Wow, Pauly had that little two week stretch where he didn't suck...but now he's definitely back to his sucky ways.
fathom
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:29 AM) Wow, Pauly had that little two week stretch where he didn't suck...but now he's definitely back to his sucky ways. I'm confident in saying that Timo will be playing 1b tomorrow.

fathom
Each batter was able to work a full count that inning, only for each of them to look very weak. Looks like Buehrle really is going to need that shut-out for the Sox to win.
Milkman delivers
I can't believe how predictable this offense is. Throw a rookie pitcher, a s***ty pitcher, or a s***ty rookie pitcher at us, and they'll be awful.

BuehrleTheAce
Wanna laugh at the patheticness of this offense? Stauffer's line prior to tonight's game: 5 starts, 29.1IP, 31 hits, 15ER, 12BB, 17K, 1.45 WHIP, 2 homers given up. Record: 1-2. Stauffer's line tonight: 7IP, 3 hits, 1ER, 0BB, 7K (season and career high).

fathom
Ramon Hernandez seems like he always hits us hard. This is ridiculous though that Buehrle has to be almost perfect in order for the Sox to have a chance to win.
fathom
Nady scares me in this lineup about as much as anyone. Buehrle's going to have to make a good pitch to get him out. Cooper going out to the mound....hopefully not shades of Ozzie/Contreras, and McPherson.

fathom
Interesting though that we intentionally walk the go-ahead run. That was a tough call for Ozzie, let's hope it was the right call.
