Jake
What the hell happened to his velocity? He's getting shelled because his fastball is only 86-89 most of the time...he likes to throw an 83 mph pitch a lot too...not exactly sure what that is. I don't know why he's lost his velocity, but he's been flirting with danger lately and we're about to pay for it. Does anyone know whats going on? Does he need a trip to the DL? AngelasDaddy0427
Dustin "Mr T-ball" Herminson has been pathetic lately... Guess we could only ride his fluke start so long... Ohh well hopefully we can find a decent closer somewhere....

Heads22
Cause it's not like Politte or anything could do the job.

The Beast
Son of a b****. I knew if I came on here I'd see a thread of speculation for Hermanson. Nothing is wrong with him. It probably is dead arm or something. That wasn't that bad of a pitch, what really killed tonight's game was the fact that we couldn't score with less than two outs. No outs and 1st and 3rd...and no runs, wow. Don't anyone blame this long on Hermanson, because its not his fault we lost. Grab some vodka, drink up, and get ready for tomorrow. AngelasDaddy0427
Ohh i'm sorry... but jeez I said before it happened we needed to keep Politte in... the defense totally saved his ass yesterday and I saw this coming. Ozzie is a moron...
fathom
Hermanson hasn't been fooling anyone with his splitter recently, that's what has changed. Earlier in the season, he was getting a lot of strikeouts or weak grounders with his splitter. If you noticed before the Hernandez homer, he threw an awful splitter that went about 58 feet. He overcompensated on the next splitter, and hung it.
frahungski
sure it is. he had a save opportunity, and he blew it. that means it was his fault. he couldn't do his job.

greg775
We rode Dustin for quite a while. Now it may be time to do the committee thing again for a while. Shingo (gasp) and Marte need to suck it up. I applaud Dustin for pitching perfect ball as long as he did. I agree ... very tough loss. Kudos to Mark B.

SoxFanForever
I just feel bad for Buehrle, he deserved the win today. I'm sure Hermanson feels bad and s*** happens every once in a while. We just have to go get 'em tomorrow.

Yes, he had those numbers...but that doesn't mean he had been pitching well recently. It's been obvious he's been less than sharp over the last 10 days or so. Its 1 bad outing, I really think its pathetic Jeckle is all worried about it. You don't win all 1 run ball games, its not going to happen. 1 blown save out of 16 chances. Thats .0625 of 1.00. Not bad at all. Even the best closers in the league will have blown saves, remember that.

My God people. I wasn't even mad at Hermanson. I was more pissed at our terrible showing in the 8th when we had a chance to get a bigger cushion. Funny how no one is mentioning that, yet they are s***ting on our closer for ONE, count it, ONE, blown save. Give me a f***ing break. The Beast
I would say this though, that I'd want to acquire another bullpen arm for the post season by the deadline. A nice right handed middle relief pitcher would be beneficial to our ball club. I don't know who is available, but it'd be some very good insurance down the road. fathom
Counting unearned runs, Hermanson has given up runs in 5 of his last 7 games. That's Vizcaino-esque.
