fathom
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) The best team in major league baseball. It's June 12th. If that's the case come September, everyone will have no problem with that reply. However, there's about 100 games left.
Jabroni
The best team in major league baseball. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That scores 1 run with the bases loaded and 1 out. I wish people would stop saying the above.
Frankensteiner
QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) Yes sir. I am naive. Thank you for pointing that out. Let's talk more about fantasy trades. Yeah, ok. Whenever Kenny makes trades, it's usually to strengthen the bench. And he's never, ever traded for a big name player. Never.
nvxplorer
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Oops it's still Sunday so Ozzie isn't gonna try to hard to take this one. Is there a full moon, too? I heard Ozzie deliberately tries to lose during a full moon phase.
fathom
We have no one to blame but ourselves for not taking the lead that inning. Iguchi had some great pitches to hit and put in play to at least get a sac fly, but he didn't get the job done. Uribe fortunately walked, even though he missed two great fastballs to hit. And as for Pods.....well, I just don't understand his approach at the plate sometimes.

Guest JimH
Three guys had a chance to get a big hit and didn't do it. Uribe deserves credit for working the count but he looked fooled on the 3-2 pitch but heck we can't take that away from him. He got the job done. Iguchi and Podsednik on the other hand, did not get the job done.

CWSGuy406
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) It's June 12th. If that's the case come September, everyone will have no problem with that reply. However, there's about 100 games left. Well, the people you call the "optimists" -- we realize there's problems with our team. We realize that we don't have all-stars at every position, and that some of our players are garbage. But we also don't dwell on every single bad thing that happens. Just, the constant negativity gets tiresome, especially for a team with the best record in baseball. Do the Sox have problems in their lineup, in their bullpen? Yes, but so what, better that they're winning with all of these problems than losing with 'em...

Just for the record the Twins have a better team era then the sox yet the sox are 4.5 games better so even with the constant b****ing about the offense they've obviously been doing something right.
