Piss on Torii Hunter....I don't need other players' opinions to know our White Sox rule! Same goes for ESPN or whoever else doesn't rate them high on power ranking boards as it doesn't help them win games....They're doing just fine without them :gosox1:

I think if you watch Torii play everyday, you know he plays hard. On Saturday, He made an amazing catch running striaght into the centerfield wall. He didnt leave the game. He has always been like that. And if you have a team filled with those sort of players, its a good chance you will win a lot of games.

A lot of you earlier this year said you wanted some respect because the WS have been winning. You get a little and some of you dont want it know. I dont understand it

Don't try. Sox fans tend to always want to b**** about something. Ever notice how they will just lose a game on here some night, and even still being as good as we have been, we are b****ing? Just our nature is all.

I too watch Hunter play everyday...love watching him. Busts his ass, money player, and he does what he can to help spark the team(even if it means going out of his way to plow Jamie Burke). He can be a classy guy at times, but I wil never forget his ghetto comment(ghetto from Arkansas?)...and he did go out of his way to hit Burke, something I will still hold to this day. He did accomplish his goal, because the Twins ran away with the division after that.

One thing that gets me is that people say losing Maggs and Frank killed the Sox last year...while losing them did not help, I feel it was no coincidence that the team went into an 8-18 skid like starting with the Burke game last year. The Sox were a .500 team or so without those 2...they were never a sub-.333 W% team.

well It was more than Frank and Maggz going down.... Garcia got injured for a little, Contreras was kind of s***ty outside of that 1 start vs Indians... Basicly our only consistent starter for all of last year was Buehrle.... Also didnt Shingo start struggling a little bit and we lost Politte when he started heating up.....

Complete mind game.  You think he thinks no one can match up with the Sox?  He was probably smirking and/or guffawing when he said it.

Why is it so difficult to take anything at face value? Are Sox fans so cynical as to see an ulterior motive to every little thing that's said and done? Hunter complimented the Sox play so far. That's all it is.

Too much thinking going on. What do you think I think he thinks? Do you honestly think I think you think I believe you know what Hunter thinks? GMAFB.

To Mr Hunter,

The CWS are the best in the majors for two reasons: solid pitching that keeps them in every game & timely hitting that wins them most games. Whether the game ends with a 1 run difference matters not.

What might be starting to scare you is that when you look over the 20L of the CWS about 1/2 of them are games in which the White Sox lost the game rather than the opposition beating them. There have been few games in which a team has gotten up on the CWS early & shut them down.

There have been few games in which a team has just flat out hit the CWS CL&L to win a game from behind.

The difference between the Twins & CWS this year?

CWS Starters 33W-10L (3.50ERA) , Relief 9W-10L (3.34ERA)

MIN Starters 26W-16L (3.75ERA) , Relief 10W-9L (2.44ERA)

Mr Hunter, your starters are 6L worse than ours but our pen is 1L worse than yours. That's why you trail us by 5 gms in the loss column.

As a testament to our organization we have gotten more out of El Duque & Hernandez then the NYY$ could have dreamed. I imagine your jealousy is only 2nd to their's right now. Garland's success is no greater a surprise than Silva's. Both pitchers came on late last year & both are having career yrs.

Your propaganda approach to instill over-confidence will not work. We look at your pen & we know we must get better. With 13 gms left between us there is plenty of opportunity for you to catch us. We must improve our pen to better resemble the dominance of yours. If we can improve our pen to a mid 2 ERA like yours you can kiss your division crown goodbye.

:gosoxretro: :gosox4: :gosox3: :gosox2: :gosox1:

Unlike past years where your Twins have choked in the post we will succeed. If we finish with the best record in MLB you'll be looking at the WS Champion CWS when you play us next year.

Sincerely,

Die-Hard fan of the CWS
