Balta1701
This article spells out exactly why I've been saying that if the Sox try to trade for bullpen help, it will cost them more than an arm and a leg. There are going to be very few quality relief pitchers on the market this summer, and the few that are there will be in huge demand, especially with the rise of the NL East and the struggles in Boston and New York. Yoda
A lot of sport writers are writing good things about Hermanson. Hopefully they can say the same about him come September.
Balta1701
QUOTE(Yoda @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) A lot of sport writers are writing good things about Hermanson. Hopefully they can say the same about him come September. He has an ERA of over 7 in June. I'm hoping he just needs a little extra rest. Wedge
I saw this the other day and it shows how the bullpen is the hardest thing to build since it's damn near impossible to project a relief pitcher's performance for a year. It seems like you can reasonably project a position player's or a starter's performance, within a certain range, but there's no hope to do the same with a relief pitcher.
