SoxFan562004
I'll check baseballamerica.com stats every now and then, haven't checked in awhile and noticed Borchard's numbers have seriously jumped in HR's and Avg. Anyone who follows this know if this is a positive trend, ie cutting down on Ks etc... or is it just a hot streak where he's running into a lot of fastballs? I don't if he has gotten hot lately or what but here are the rest of his stats. He's on a hot streak.... relative to May Borch and April Borch and 2004 Borch and 2003 Borch....

Jordan4life_2007
I fell into this trap last year. Borchard always has these hot streaks that gets you thinkin he may have a shot afterall. He would have to get his average up to atleast .275 before I get excited about him again.

If he gets up to .275, Kenny needs to promote the hell out of him and try to drive that trade value up. I'm sorry, but with guys like Anderson and Sweeney and Young, as well as the OF'ers we got on the big club, Borchard would need to hit .330+ to have a shot to stick... How many .300 hitters do we have in our OF? I'd say a solid .280 with his power and Borch is a starter.

Well I consider Aaron a .300 hitter, anyways I agree though if Borch could hit .280 in the majors with his power he's without a doubt a starter, however even though I wish Borch the best I just don't think he's going to be able to, I definitely hope I'm wrong though. I'm not holding my breath, either. However, if he can get in somewhat of a groove, I'd rather see JoBo than Timo.

Jobo seems like the kind of guy to me that needs to get his ab's otherwise since he has a big long swing to begin with it's just going to get longer and loopier sitting on the bench but that's jmo. Don't worry, Borch is never going to hit .280 in the major leagues, imo.
