Best line of the night

So quickman and I go to the game tonite, only to leave early due to the ass kicking the Sox were taking, and other early Tuesday morning obligations.

We stop at The Lantern in downtown Naperville (nature called) where we're greeted by the usual Monday nite bartender, Andy. Nice guy, but happens to be a raging Cub fan.

He gets us our drinks, and says, "Tough night tonight, huh guys? Sox lost, huh?"

To which quickman retorts ... "Not as bad as the Cubs did ... HUH??"

8-1 Sox lose. 9-1 Cubs lose. In every dark cloud there is a silver lining.

Is it just me or does every time a Flubbs fan open up his yap he has to close it right back up again and sulk away in defeat?

the bartender really should have thought that one through.

Great bartender, questionable baseball loyalties. Can you say b**** slapped?

(note to quickman who is lurking, notice no comments on Terri)

Getting owned 8-1 by Shawn f***ing Estes is a lot worse than getting owned 9-1 by D-Train. :rolly

That's true, but apparently, that Cub fan wasn't quick witted enough to retort with that. :D
