baggio202
If they care about the game, they go. Damn it, I live 205 miles away and had f***ing bronchitis all week and missed 3 days of work and had to go to work today and kept thinking damn it, I couldn't make the game because of all that. I had friends calling me tryng to figure outweekend arrangements for going to the Cell tomorrow and saturday., Don't throw that Remember Sox fans show up to watch games and see their team win, not get drunk and find a girl to bang every night. Sox fans actually care about the game, not the "cute atmosphere". bulls*** at me. By that standard, Cubs fans are far and away f***ing superior to us because for whatever reason they f***ing go instead of f***ing sit at f***ing home and f***ing whine all f***ing night long. Tonight I am ashamed of my fellow fans as I have never been in my life and any real fan will be at the Cell tomorrow and Sunday unless they have some extraordinary reason not to go. Fans show up. They f***ing show up. They show up. I'll check the boards on Monday and look at the names of everyone who posts during the games on Saturday and Sunday and unless they live out of state, they will go on my list of Big Mouth No Go Fake Fans. i am going sunday.....the kids have their opening day tomorrow so i cant go.. and i would have been there in person to witness this fiasco tonite but one of our guy at work had a medical problem tonite and i had to stick around later than usual till back up came in .........ill be there for the rest of the homestand though.. and ill be calling for bail money if i have to witness this kind of bulls*** sunday and the rest of the week......cause ill the next one jumping the fence to kick the s*** out of the whole team......how much do ya think they will fine me for running into the dugout???????? i better make sure i have your number remembered huh cw.. ill have to have danno call ya and take up a collection to spring me......... they keep jacking the ticket prices up...you get to a point where people just cant afford to go...everyone was wondering why they had 39k the other night in kc..check their prices...cheapest seats 5 bucks...box seats start at 12 bucks..the most expensive seats 22 bucks..not sure what they charge for parking but ill bet you it beats the 15 bucks the sox charge..combine those prices with a half price and dollar hot dogs and guess what...39k show up... if i sit in the upper deck at 15 bucks at comiskey it cost me 90 bucks (5 tickets plus 15 bucks for parking) just to walk into comiskey with my family. for a game this weekend..and now id be stuck in the upper deck and couldnt go down to the concourse ...we have made the trip once this year..cant really say how many more we can afford to make it out to...but because im not going this weekend doesnt make me less of a fan than any season ticket holder... BridgeportHeather
I'll check the boards on Monday and look at the names of everyone who posts during the games on Saturday and Sunday and unless they live out of state, they will go on my list of Big Mouth No Go Fake Fans. Are you gonna call me a "Fake Fan" if I post during the games tomorrow and Sunday??? I sure as hell hope you don't!!! I am here at Illinois State University and don't have a car to go anywhere. It would f***ing cost me $60 just to get to and from the game on the train, and then another $25 easily at the game. When I'm home, I can't get to many games either, since funds do not allow me to do so! I have to FULLY pay my way through college, and I didn't get very much financial aid from the state, which means that the loans I have are pretty big right now!!! I have to pay for everything else but the roof above my head when I'm at home. When I was in high school, my dad didn't allow me to work during the school year, so I had no way of "saving up" for college!!! I'm glad I have campus work, and now have a summer job lined up, so that I can get a car this summer which I will sorely NEED for student teaching. But, most of that money goes right back to ISU's student accounts office to pay for tuition! The White Sox have half price nights too, but I can't even barely afford to go to THOSE. If someone is living within their means and cannot make it to many games, you cannot criticize them for their fanship!!!!! I'm sorry, but I am committing a GRAVE sin by living in my means!!! cwsox
Nah, I go to ISU....champagne is a dump Cannot argue with that. Isn't it about time we changed that french sounding name off that city and gave it a new, more accurate, name? NoSelfville? City of NeverSeenAnNCAAtitleExceptOnTV? Knucklehead Town? Des Jerks? Oh, that sounds too french, forget that one.

I was there tonight freezing my ass off and listening to all the twinkies fans in my section (some yapping cub fans too). I would be there tomorrow if not for something else I must do for school. I am there 30+ times a year no matter how good or bad they play. Yeah, they are playing like s***, but I remember in 2000 when they were going good and people had a litany of excuses for not going too. (I don't like looking at all the ads, the seats are the wrong color, the park faces the wrong way, a parking lot guy was rude to me, the guy taking my ticket didn't say hi, there was too much mustard on my hotdog, there wasn't enough mustard on my hotdog, my seat was cold, nobody would carry me from the car to my seat and now my legs hurt, it was cold, it was hot, the Sox players wouldn't wave to me, I went to 1 game all year and my favorite player didn't play that game, etc, etc, etc, etc). I remember being there the series before they went to Minn. and clinched, it was empty just like now. What the f***, they were winning? What was the excuse? The majority of Sox fans seem to enjoy whining more than anything lately. I hate to say that, but the more I see of it, the more it looks like the truth. Yeah 1994 and the white flag trade in 1997 sucked, but isn't it about time to get over it? I listened to a guy tonight b****ing up a storm tonight as to why Rios was trying to bunt. He kept yelling that he should swing away. When he hit into the DP, he b****ed about him swinging. I listen to people b**** about Thomas every at bat and then get all giddy when he hit the HR. I actually heard one "Sox" fan yelling that Buehrle sucks! Yeah, I am pissed they are losing, but going insane like this after every loss is......well, insane. I was only 3 in 1970, so that I don't remember that, but I did watch much worse baseball than this in 1979, 1980, 1985, 1986, 1987, and a horrible last place team in 1989. cwsox
Illinois State, not Iowa state. I am down here with Heather, lol. I know - Soxheads is our Iowa State fan - in fact I was playing Cyclone football highlights tonight - and Heather, somewhere tonight I called out those in the Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane, and Mchenry county area, not downstaters, who are not employed or dead or under 16. But if you ever want to go and have a ride on a weekend and it is one of those that I cannot make, email me and I'll get you into the upper deck, with wandering the whole ball park priviledges! Half price night has got to suck being on a Tuesday and being in school downstate. Then again, transfer! There must be some college somewhere in Chicago! Unless you are at ISU to be far away from your parents. Then you earn a lifetime exemption for missing tonight's game!

cwsox
i go cause i have no life and nothing better to do with my money but go to the games..... I laughed at that - when on Fridays I am laoding the car with my prepacked bvag of Sox gear and my always packed travel bag, I get asked a lot about what is wrong with me - and I use both those lines - I have no life and I have nothing better to blow my money on! And certainly if I had a bit of, ah, action, going on tonight I wouldn't even be on line now - now that is something I'd like to do at the Cell by the way But let's face it, we are more familiar with being at the Cell than we are in our own living rooms, and that's the way we like it! You can vacumn in heaven but the red line does not run there nor the Dan Ryan so we gotta get our game time in now and f*** the house cleaning. Besides that, when you are dead, at the wake, do you want the boys to say: 1. Our house was always spotless and our Stepford Mom was always cleaning! That's something we will always remember! Mom was always conversing about new florr wax and dusting! 2. Gees, we had fun going to games and laughing and cheering and being with friends and those memories will be with us always! Mom was always alive with us doing fun things and we laughed all the time when we weren't cussing out KW! Case closed. Take me out to the ballgame... not Mommy let's mop the flopor again. I've gotta prioritize here, and enjoyment is down the list a ways. I've got college to pay for, and this summer, I'll have a car to pay for too. I'm probably not going to be able to afford going to many games until I'm literally about 30ish or so.
