sayitaintso
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) If Neifi continues to do well, the Cubs might trade Nomar since they rather improve elsewhere and Nomar is signed only through end of this year anyways. I am suggesting I rather help the Cubs and get a stud SS back (who when healthy would be awesome for this lineup) than help another AL contender by getting their one year fluke 3B Who would take him, he's hurt. redandwhite
I bring this out sparingly, but its definitly deserving: Dear sox-r-us, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. Ya, I was actually just going to correct myself, I just recall he's been real good these last 3 years then I looked at his career stats and he's been a very good hitter his whole career. .291 career hitter with a .375 career obp. Guest JimH
Kenny might be willing to part with Damaso Marte based on the fact that he values Cotts as high if not higher than Damaso. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fact? Sounds more like an opinion.

One thing Kenny doesn't do is rest on his laurels. I dont think that KW doesnt like Marte. I was saying that he probably does have Cotts rated higher than Marte right now. Cotts has been spectacular lately, and Marte just the opposite. Last night I think Marte got pissed because Uribe booted that ball. He then had a horrible night. Cotts has been unflappable, for lack of a better Hawkism.
CWSGuy406
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) The deal does not make sense at all for the White Sox. Why should they help a team who coudl easily beat them in the post season by giving them something that is most difficult to get (pitching)?????? The Sox can get 3B upgrades elsewhere (Randa for sure and maybe even Castilla if the Nats do fall out of it). Hell they should get a SS like Nomar and move Uribe to 3B before tradign Marte away for Bill-I-had-one-great-year-Mueller This coming from a guy who started a trade for A-Rod, and a trade for Omar Vizquel thread? On the basis of, his opinion? And now Nomar? Unbelievable... Mueller has only had one good year? News to me. Since '96, his lowest OBP has been .333, while over his career he has averaged a .374 OBP. He's posted OPS+ of 140, 124, 120, 110, 109, and 106 -- only twice dipping below league average. Please... think a little before you type. CWSGuy406
BTW -- Castilla is down to a .754 OPS, compared to Crede's .720. You're telling me that we should give up a guy like Sean Tracey for .034 percentage points of offense? Really? I'm not seeing it...

Rowand44
I'd throwup if Tracey was traded for Castilla. Tracey is a good solid prospect and could be the center piece of a deal to get a very good player imo.
