Cali
I haven't even really been paying attetion to who is hot and not in the minors this season, but who do you guys think the Sox reps will be this year? I know the last couple of seasons they've been getting screwed. I remember in '03 it was Cotts and Ring, but before the game Ring got traded and they only had one rep, then last year, I think, Reed was the only rep and then he also got traded and they had zero players in the game. Perhaps I'm remembering '04 wrong.
He_Gawn
I'm guessing Anderson and Gio.
danman31
Anderson and BMac. Guaranteed.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Anderson and BMac. Guaranteed. I'd go with that. However, they could grab Gio for the world team or however it works (Isn't that how they do it sometimes?).
Rowand44
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) I'd go with that. However, they could grab Gio for the world team or however it works (Isn't that how they do it sometimes?). In 03 it was Cotts and Ring so it doesn't necessarily have to be a world and a usa guy. I'd go with Anderson and Bmac too they seem like the most likely candidates, however if they do want a world guy from the sox it'd have to be Gio. He wouldn't be eligible for the world team.

They probably won't do it, but its a possibility. Personally I'd rather see Gio and Anderson simply because I've seen Bmac pitch a lot and haven't had the luxury of watching much of Gio (I'm selfish, haha). Jas, I remember Morneau was in the game either last year or in 03 when he already had been in the majors for a bit so that really shouldn't be an issue. But I'm with you I have not seen Gio pitch a real game, I've only see his scouting video and I'd love to have the opportunity to see him pitch. mwolfson
If I had to guess, Brandon McCarthy, Brian Anderson and Ryan Sweeney would be the top-3 options to represent the United States during the futures game considering they are our top-3 prospects...
