Jabroni
Did he get a promotion from Cruddy?? :huh <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, he is Cruddy when he bats under .230. Since he is now batting over .240, he is Crediocre.

Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Prior to our San Diego series, I had no opinion on Burroughs. Now, I think he's a total dog, and with an attitude to match. I'd be stunned if we traded for him.

southsider2k5
Crede>>>>Burroughs. Like his bat or not Crede plays an excellent steadying third base. He makes many difficult plays look easy, and saves his pitchers tons of runs during the course of a season. Especially with two groundball pitchers in Garland and Buehrle, we would regret not having Crede in the line up, unless we got a top 5 third baseman to replace him. mwolfson
Sean is almost equal to Joe but minus some of the power (mentioned before)... both are classic high-profile minor leaguers that play the hot corner and have yet to live up to their expectations in the majors so far... I expect the Sox to hold on to Crede, especially if they are looking at guys like Burroughs who may not be half the player Joe could be... ISF
Sean Burroughs cannot hold Crediocre's jock. The guy has 0 power, and the only reason we'd be looking at a 3Bman would be to upgrade the offensive output we're getting from that position. I would puke if we traded for Burroughs. RockRaines
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) Well, what the hell. After all the work I put into my "Eric Chavez is a White Sox player RIGHT NOW, By the time you read this Chavez is wearing a Sox uni and has already hit 4 hr in one game for us" thread. I mean, it's just suggestive is all.

beck72
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Wasn't DJ saying that he was injured or something? DJ was saying he had to have been injured after the way he half jogged to 1st. Though he recently had gotten off the DL, if he was hurt as bad as he ran, he shouldn't have been in the lineup. It's hard to say if he was dogging it. But I wasn't impressed by the way he played that weekend
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) Mike Murphy mentions the the sox are looking to make a trade for Burroghs of SD I'm a Burroughs fan, but this stuff is purely speculation by a writer, imo. They identify a need and look at players that could fit the need. I'm sure Kenny does the same thing and I'd guess Burroughs is one of the names that has came up. However, Ozzie's quotes on Crede seemed like a pretty good indication that he'll be here for a while.

If Crede continues his month of June, then he won't be traded, but if he goes back to his .220 or whatever, KW isn't going sit there watching Crede stink... elrockinMT
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 04:05 AM) C'mon people. Stop titling these threads so it reads as if it's a done deal. I have to agree with YASNY here. Crazy rumor anyway considering SD is in a race also and just why would they start trading their starters? The Sox wouldn't be making an upgrade anyway.
