Reinsdorf said everybody is coming over, don't know if that means Dolgin as well.

I like this, the 670 signal is so much better than 1000. Will be interesting to see how WMVP treats all topics White Sox through the remainder of this year. There have been a few incidences of sniping but I hope things remain professional.

Mariotti is going to have a field day with this

I didn't think about this. Thats definitely a good thing. I've driven to Colorado a few times in my life and we can get the Score well into Nebraska. Its hard to get WMVP past Rockford.

Interestingly, the 1000 signal is much stronger to the east. Both stations actually reach into certain parts of Canada. Several Canadian acquaintances have told me they often listed to Blackhawk games on both 1000 and 670.

But yeah, the 1000 signal to the west is awful, it's very fuzzy in the western suburbs after 6 pm or so.

More far reaching station = More visibility = Even more pressure to field a contending team every year?

Not necessarily a direct cause and effect relationship but if it works out that way, fantastic.

I'm a loyal MVP listener; I can't stand the Score. However, I will do whatever it takes to listen to the Sox and I'm thrilled they are keeping the Rooney-Farmer tandum in tact. I wonder what MVP will do to counter.

i agree, cannot stand any host on 670. But where the Sox go, so must I too. :gosox1:

I wonder what is next for the Bulls. It will be interesting to see where they go when contract talks open up again next year.

Knowing Reinsdorf, anywhere but MVP.

BTW, I see Hamerhead in here. I made it over to that German deli the other day and went to town on the Haribro gummies!

That's a nice little mall, although it reeks of German snobs.

Did you get any beef jerky?  :salivating

Passed on the jerky. After dropping nearly a ten spot on gummies, I had to get the hell out of there.

I can second that. My fiancee's family is from near Iowa City, Iowa, so we go out there about once a month. THis last weekend we were out there, but I couldnt get a Sox game because I lost 1000 soon after we pased DeKalb. However, i got The Score all the way to her house. Yes it cuts out from time to time if you are near power lines or in a valley. But other than that,it's great!

Blackhawk hockey? ;) lol Ok, just kidding.

Well, the Bulls are their once shot. THe Bears recently re-upped with WBBM and the Cubs will never leave WGN. Illinois signed with WIND (560 AM) So, that leaves the Blackhawks and NIU or Northwestern if they leave WGN.

It doenst look good for 1000.

JR just confirmed Farmer and Rooney are coming with the team to the Score.

If i am not mistaken, the broadcast teams are hired y the TEAM not the station they air on. So, they go where the team goes. Hence why Hawk and DJ broadcast on WGN, CCSN, and WCIU.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but MVP still has the Irish for collegiate athletics.

Also, don't be so sure they won't make a run at Blackhawk hockey if contracts and such allow.

Is that an MVP contract or ESPN contract? I know they are also on a local station in SB.
