Randar68
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) Completely agreed, I know I'm very interested to see how much his power numbers increase while in Charlotte. I also kind of wonder if he has a legit shot to replace Pauly if he's not resigned after this season, I guess his time in Charlotte will prove that one way or another. He's always projected to more power than he's shown, but he's a pretty good hitter and patient... If he ever figures out how to hit the ball with good carry in game-situation, you could see that power show up down the road. He hits the ball hard regularly... The guy is a monster you'd think he has some hidden power. I'm sure his linedrives into the gap in the met will turn into some homeruns in Charlotte, wouldn't you think? I don't put a lot of stock in poor power numbers in BHam, and I don't put a lof of stock in great power numbers in Charlotte, either. I think Rogo is a ~20 HR hitter in the majors unless he changes his swing plane... That said, he can be a 40+ doubles guy and hit over .300 with a lot of walks, and I'd take that. I think that would put him in the .800-.850 OPS area... Edited June 17, 2005 by Randar68

If the Sox do not sign Konerko to a new deal, they may pick up a veteran righthanded 1B, in which case Rogowski might make sense as a platoon player. Or if they do sign Konerko, Rogowski might fit anyways as a backup. We'll see.
BHAMBARONS
QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:17 AM) Tom, tell us more. Are you suggesting a managerial change is needed, or the coaching staff, or both? I think Razor is fine he is trying talking to them after every AB every mistake but I think we need a new hitting coach because Razor can only do so much and the adjustments are not being made to the Hoover Met Ritchie has had 2 months yet every swing is for the fences which will lead you to failure. I know the Barons have a lot of homerun hitters but the way to win at the Met is small ball and a team that has .297 BA with 37 Homers (22-12) on the Road yet a .218 BA with 14 Homers (10-20) at home makes me believe something is wrong. Way to many big swings and just not smart ball when the tying run is in the hole the batter have a 3-0 count and takes a Homerun swing on a ball that is over his head 3 straight times makes me want to scream. Barons have won 2 games @ home since May 14th.
danman31
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 05:17 AM) I wouldn't get my hopes up. He killed the ball in Single A for the Tigers as well. Then they moved him up to AA and he sucked... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/leo_daigle.shtml Since when is .258 killing the ball? What on earth are you looking at? minorsfan
That's just my feel for it. Daigle is a good guy to have in the clubhouse, but there are several really good guys, a few with leadership skills on the BHam roster right now, so what does that say? I don't know, I have always kind of wondered how long anyone could keep a guy like Razor around before he talked/acted his way out of town... We'll see. He makes things fun when they're winning, but man is it a b**** to be around him when they are losing... that's my opinion anyway, I could be off... First of all you are way off.... When you speak of leadership Shines should come to mind, he has 7 to 9 championship rings as a player, a championship ring with WS as a manager, and also a ring in the AZ Fall League while managing 5 different organizations top prospects. That to me is called leadership. Not to mention managing a 2004 B-Ham team into the playoffs without any all-stars. So, yes I guess you could say you are "off".
