I like to give mine away, because last year, I would just let them go to waste when I didnt make it to a game. More often or not, I would just want someone else to have a good game, maybe take a kid, or a friend that has never been there.....wishful thinking I guess.

More people should do that. There are usually lots of good empty seats. :huh

It only makes sense... an empty seat provides no extra revenue for the park. Even a freebie has to park, get a drink etc. You would think that the season ticketholder would think of the other revenues coming in could help keep their costs down, but I digress.

One of the dumber policies the White Sox have has to do with their season ticket exchange program. You can exchange unused tickets for upper deck tickets to some pre-selected games. But the dumb thing about it is you can't exchange them until the game for which the tickets you are going to be exchanging has been played. If two weeks before the game you knew you couldn't make it and wanted to exchange them, they could put those seats back in circulation. Maybe they want you to give them away. I would think that people who get their tickets for free probably tend to spend more on concessions and souveniers.

I usually spend $60-$100 on parking, beer, food, etc every game i go to ( and I go a lot). So I am always looking for free tickets and I never feel bad about not paying for one. They get plenty of money from me.
