cwsox
i remember why.....cause ty law couldn't knock it down trust me - every time I see Ty Law on tv to this day I scream at him, "knock the f***ing ball down you asshole." Makes it fun when my grandson and I watch the Patriots - we cheer for Tom Brady and scream obscenities at Ty Law. I was there that day. I saw that game. One of the worst moments of my life. Soxfest
55 td's in first 2 years is no fluke, R Zook is a piss poor coach and changed whole offensive system, RG is NO Mcclown.

Mathew
Kordell Stewart who I hate now is one of the reasons I am a Buff's fan. To this day Charles Johnson is the only reciever Kordell really looked good throwing to. That play was so excellent I am so very sorry cw and other Wolverine fans, but that play is the single greatest thing I have seen in college football. doubleM23
Well, on the plus side, I won't have to worry about the Bears making any noise with that big QB duo of Slash Stewart and Rex Grossman. :puke

IlliniKrush
Rex Grossman lost his bowl game, now didn't he. He looked bad in much of that game as he did much of the season. Since you all have Kordell Stewart to be lead qb for a few years, Grossman might grow up. He should have stayed at Florida one more year, he is not ready and his bowl game play proved it - as did his game against FSU. As it is, I am not sure he is the team player type - he was very concerned about his season, not Florida's. He is not a Ryan Leaf, but you may remember a recent qb from UCLA - this may be the part 2 of that. The fact that he doesn't have to start for a few years, maybe he will grow up. Good luck to you all. But in case anyone wants to remember who Rex Grossman lost the bowl game to, to see what a winner of a bowl game with Grossman in the game looks like, please check my signature. Grossman lost his bowl game because Zook called for a wr reverse pass that got picked off and ended the game. I think Grossman will be good, but who knows. Like i said he was #1 going into last year, and though he didn't have a great season, i don't think it was terrible. He lost all his wr's except jacobs, he lost spurrier, and his offensive line was a joke (see Miami game). He's a gutsy QB who makes plays, Jaworski was comparing his improvisation skills to Favre's, gotta like that. I've always been a fan of him he seems like a pretty good leader actually and he's a gamer of a QB. He had some s***ty circumstances to deal with this year, that's for sure. To compare him to McNown i think is a little crazy. Oh, and this is the 2nd guy under 20 to remember Ty Law/Kordell Stewart just knock it down! cwsox
Grossman lost his bowl game because Zook called for a wr reverse pass that got picked off and ended the game. A 60 minute game is not lost on one play, not hardly. Many plays, made and unmade, win or lose a game.
moochpuppy
one thing scares me about grossman.. 1. he's a florida QB Me too, baggio. But hey, at least he didn't win a Heisman. I also like the two WR we took in the 5th round. Could be a couple sleepers there. Now we just need to get Casey Urlacher in here as a free agent to play some safety. My point is that cost them the game...of course a ton of plays contribute to what happens in a game but when it's a tight bowl game like that, one stupid call will cost you the game. cwsox
qb stats for the game Rex Grossman 41-21-0 323 2 51 4 Navarre, John 36-21-0 319 1 49 1 Navarre was sacked once, Grossman 4 times - same number of completions but Navarre threw fewer times to get the same number yardage almost identical Michigan was 10-3 for the year and ranked 9th, Florida was 8-5 and not sure if ranked at all

He slid because he never ran at the combine due to a hamstring injury. This kid is a deep threat who has great athletic ability. I'm still stunned he slid that far. Bears fans will like him. cwsox
I hope you are not saying Navarre is in Grossman class, because he is not. They are different types of qb and I think Navarre is profoudly developing, improving, season to season and will be one of the very best in the country next season. The class Nararre is in is bowl champion. Grossman not in the class.
