DId DJ just say it is one of his most outstanding outings?

I think it's pretty outstanding that he's only given up 2 runs despite the fact that he has sucked and has no stuff tonight. Does that make it an outstanding outing? I don't know.

he's right. He's pitching a hell of a game despite being completely lost the first couple of innings

yeah he has recovered, guess I misunderstood the way he put it. I definitely wouldn'c call it one of his best ever outings

Outstanding outing my ass. He's lucky as hell he hasn't given up 5-6 runs by now.

I can think of a hell of a lot pitchers that would love to be in line for a quality start despite sucking majorly.

How you get there doesn't mean s***. The fact is he's given up 2 runs in 6 innings.

Doesn't the term fit tonight?  I'm just waiting to hear Hawk say how Dessens is an ace-quality pitcher. :headshake  :puke

The way you describe the term, yes.

I'm just sick of every time we go 6 up 6 down in sequence hearing "corpseball"

it's baseball, folks. The best hitters are out 2/3rds of the time or more.

Once again...

2 hits off of Elmer Dessens through 6 innings. That's pretty disgusting and worse than your 2/3'rds rule.
