DBAHO
Malone continues to shine, Liotta could be up with the Hogs soon, if there's room in the rotation for him.
danman31
I wouldn't say Malone continues to shine. He went 5 IP, 3 R today and he doesn't go deep into any starts. I don't think he can make it as a starter, maybe a reliever. Birmingham won 10-5. 15 hits for Barons. Aceves triple short of cycle. 2 hits for Owens, AGon, Sweeney, Reyes, and Haggerty. Box Score Hogs win 7-4. 2 hits for Valido, Hall, and Lee. Ryan Rodriguez struggled but got win #8. He's 8-4 with a 5.30 ERA, haha only with this offense.Box Score Kanny lost 5-2. 2 hits for Berry, McCarthy. Liotta continues to do work on the SAL, tough luck ND. danman31
Charlotte played 13 and a half innings only to be suspended by rain. I guess they pick up where they left off tomorrow, haha. Baj dropped his ERA under 1. Box Score

BHAMBARONS
Barons 10 Mobile 5 W-Malone (4-3) L- Chick (2-6) Offense was rolling tonight and started at the top of the order with Owens going 2-5 3 RBI and Gonzo who now plays second was 2-5 with a ringing double. Ryan Sweeney had a pair of hits and one absolute rocket. Reyes had a couple hits and Jon Aceves hit a 487 Ft Homerun off the light tower in LF with his 3-4 tonight gives him 8 hits out of 9 AB's. Corwin had trouble with the strike zone of young umpire Josh Caryle who seemed to have trouble himself calling Balls and Strikes but it was on both sides so the rookie ump just had an off night. Corwin threw 102 pitches for 5 innings. LaMura struggled again, Reynoso got a scoreless 8th and Jenks was throwing gas in the 9th as Ronnie Merill took a called 3rd strike down the middle on a 98 MPH Fastball to end the game the fastball to Merill after seeing 2 12-6 Curves must have though the FB to be 110 MPH just unfair to the opposing hitters. DBAHO
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) I wouldn't say Malone continues to shine. He went 5 IP, 3 R today and he doesn't go deep into any starts. I don't think he can make it as a starter, maybe a reliever. Well he's been doing pretty good for a couple of months now, getting his velocity back, even though he usually doesn't go further past 5 or 6 innings, but he's getting his career back on track which is good to see. bulokis
Malone needs time to build up his strength after an injury last year. He has been pitching great as of late.
Chisoxfn
When is Bmac slated to pitch? I have a sneaky suspicion he is going to be promoted again with Duque finding the DL.
