GASHWOUND Posted June 20, 2005 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Anybody see that new FX show with the guy who did Super Size Me? I just watched the 'Minimum waged' ep and it was pretty good. He went to live in Columbus, Ohio and had to live on min wage for a month and it just exposed alot of s***. #1, don't get sick.. If you're makin 7 bucks an hour and have no health insurance??? Yikes You're screwed. This was the first ep, but it was a re-run...it premiered last WED I think..the next new one is this WED at 9 central and the Shield finale was last week...season is over..kinda lame season finale though in my opinion I think they're re-airing it tomorrow at 9 central and after that I don't see any re-airings.. She loves to spite me by going in and erasing stuff I have on there I've been watching Into the West (haven't seen this weeks episode yet) but I loved the 1st episode. This blows deadwood away, imo, but it doesn't have all the "cocksuckers" that deadwood has. The good thing about shows on FX or USA is that they are rerun several times throughout the week. My DVR has recorded the same episode at least four times. Tell a compelling story with humor and deep feeling, without battering you about the ears with it or lying your ass off to make your point of view stick. Actually I'm glad it wasn't picked up by a major net...Being on FX he would have more freedom and have it the way he wanted with out being over the top..If Fox have picked it up how the show would've turned out. This is no more demonstrative than that stupid "Super Size Me" movie was. What idiot eats McDonalds fatburgers for 3 meals a day and doesn't exercise? Yeah I know they're out there but darwinism takes good care of those people. This guy is so good at pointing out the obvious. "Don't eat too much junkfood or you'll get fat and die." No s*** sherlock, I only heard that from my mother about a million times when I was little. "Get a good education or you'll be working s***ty jobs for bum paychecks the rest of your life." Hell, my HS guidance counselor gave me that advice and I didn't have to sit in front of a TV watching Captain Obvious live it out for me on some dumb reality show. Its a pretty badass show/movie, imo. I've been watching "Into the West" as well. I enjoyed the 1st episode, but thought it was a little slow to develop. The 2nd episode was much better, imho.
