Not sure if I'm the only one, but I absolutely HATE the thinking and philosophy I've heard from Hawk, DJ, and some other members of the media about what type of average record the Sox could have the rest of the year, and still have "x" amount of wins.  Sounds way too much like playing not to lose.

I believe implied in that is the idea that we won't be playing .500 ball the rest of the year, and that we've put ourselves in great shape.

Meanwhile, another 1-2-3.

Greinke does this all the time vs. the Sox, he is practically perfect the first two times through the order.

If Everett struggles so much in his career against Greinke, why did we play him tonight?  Does anyone know what Rowand's career numbers are against Greinke?

ArRow is 1 for 7 career against him. That 1 did not stay in the yard.

I wonder if they will give Rowand 3 days off in a row. Tues. - Thurs.

No, I understand what they're saying, I just don't think it's a wise attitude. Of course, this has nothing to do with the actual team, as Hawk, DJ, etc. aren't the ones on the field. However, I'm sure that type of statistic will be used by some people on this board in an effort to suggest we don't need to make any changes, etc.

Matt Stairs is always dangerous.  It seems like he's always working the count.

They keep saying that he's a first ball fastball hitter. Yet he hasn't hit any of those this series.

Man, that shift worked to perfection.

Aren't we facing a lefty tomorrow?  Rowand better be playing then.

Yes I think they do, and I would also hope he's in there.

Just speculating I guess. Rowand plays so hard and he's always dinged up.

I remember last year when the Royals signed Stairs. There were people on this board freaking out at how the Royals would be so much better than the White Sox with his acquisition.
