jerseysox
Now, I know this is a completely oddball question, but are any of you on friendster? if so, are any of you the fake profile of Hawk Harrelson or know the person who is the pretend Hawk? if so, can you go and accept my friend request already? i sent it about six weeks ago, and he hasn't logged back on since early April. it is perhaps the funniest profile i've ever read, and i want to be his friend. thank you, and have a nice day. BuehrleTheAce
QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) Ball four base hit. That should say "fall for a base hit"
Kalapse
QUOTE(BuehrleTheAce @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) That should say "fall for a base hit" No it should say "ball four base hit" when someone is up and has a 3-1 or 3-2 count Hawk will say"ball four base hit" meaning either walk or get a hit. Steve9347
QUOTE(BuehrleTheAce @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) That should say "fall for a base hit" you're kidding right? "c'mon Pauly, ball four base hit."
SoxFan1
That was pretty damn funny. The pick to clicks quote with Jim Angio, etc. was hilarious. I also liked "Stay Fair. (Pause) It will!"

BuehrleTheAce
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) you're kidding right? "c'mon Pauly, ball four base hit." Obviously I'm not kidding. What I thought Hawk was saying sounds more logical IMO.
greasywheels121
QUOTE(BuehrleTheAce @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Obviously I'm not kidding. What I thought Hawk was saying sounds more logical IMO. He always says that on when there's at least 3 balls in the count. He's kind of telling Konerko, or whoever the batter is, what they should try to do. Take ball four and get the walk, or get a base hit....

LosMediasBlancas
'......putting DJ in his place' is about as dead on as can be. No matter what DJ asks, Hawk always says he can't relate to it, or says the opposite is true. DJ: "Ya ever have one of those games where everything just seemed to go poorly for you on the field. I mean both on offense and defense, just completely not there?" Hawk: "Uh no, I can't say I ever had a game like that. I always had at least one positive thing happen in every game".
