Now, I know this is a completely oddball question, but are any of you on friendster? if so, are any of you the fake profile of Hawk Harrelson or know the person who is the pretend Hawk? if so, can you go and accept my friend request already? i sent it about six weeks ago, and he hasn't logged back on since early April. it is perhaps the funniest profile i've ever read, and i want to be his friend. thank you, and have a nice day.

lol on the site, you can be friends with anything. it's hilarious. for instance, i am friends with the white sox. a friend of mine is friends with YANKEES SUCK. you can become friends with cities.

but the hawk one is too funny. his likes include, "yelling stretch! stretch!"

here is the profile. tell me this isn't the funniest thing ever.

btw, you have to imagine a picture of the hawk in the profile. here it is:

Zodiac Sign: Virgo

Hometown: Woodruff, SC

Occupation: White Sox television play-by-play announcer

Affiliations: Celebrity Golf Tour

Hobbies and Interests: Golf, long pauses for emphasis, disagreeing with DJ, bringing up the '67 Red Sox, yelling STRETCH! on any line drive, ribs from the Bertucci boys, putting DJ in his place, Yaz, starting every story with "I've been involved in baseball for 41 years now", enjoying sports talk radio now that Jay Mariotti is gone (still not sure about Burns and Boerstein though), putting down "Moneyball" while talking up the virtues of "Ozzieball", debating with spinmeisters

Favorite Music: Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye

Favorite TV Shows: Around The Horn (so I can flip off Mariotti when he comes on the screen)

About Me: So sit back, relax and strap it down as we bring you the finale of this three game set and D.J. will be back with the rest of the starting lineups.

Alright D.J. thank you and once again good evening everyone and welcome to White Sox baseball over Comcast SportsNet here from beautiful U.S. Cellular Field. 330 down the left field line, 335 down the right field line, 375 in the gaps and 400 to straightaway center field.

That should say "fall for a base hit"

No it should say "ball four base hit" when someone is up and has a 3-1 or 3-2 count Hawk will say"ball four base hit" meaning either walk or get a hit.

Obviously I'm not kidding. What I thought Hawk was saying sounds more logical IMO.

He always says that on when there's at least 3 balls in the count. He's kind of telling Konerko, or whoever the batter is, what they should try to do.

Take ball four and get the walk, or get a base hit....

LOL, he always mentions this, I think he even goes as far as keeping track of our record in those "42 games".

'......putting DJ in his place' is about as dead on as can be.

No matter what DJ asks, Hawk always says he can't relate to it, or says the opposite is true.

DJ: "Ya ever have one of those games where everything just seemed to go poorly for you on the field. I mean both on offense and defense, just completely not there?"

Hawk: "Uh no, I can't say I ever had a game like that. I always had at least one positive thing happen in every game".

You know...at the rate we're going, we're gonna wind up being 42-0 in those 42 games.
