GoodAsGould
he got promoted.... I think he should of started the season in AAA but with his injury and not really coming back strong from what I saw what was the reason for promoting him now? bullfan
They have double headers on Friday and Saturday and needed extra pitchers. Hopefully he will get back to his pre-injury form quickly! He may only be up there for this start, but nobody really knows.
southsider2k5
It might be temporary, but hopefully it leads to good things. I have seen his numbers lately, is it safe to assume his back is still bugging him? It hasn't been pretty.
Heads22
Awesome. Hopefully he impresses some people.

southsider2k5
QUOTE(DMoneyIsMine @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Bull? Jim Bullard, Sox minor league pitcher, and Soxtalk resident stud.
bullfan
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) It might be temporary, but hopefully it leads to good things. I have seen his numbers lately, is it safe to assume his back is still bugging him? It hasn't been pretty. He is healthy. He just had some fine tuning to do with his mechanics and getting used to pitching again. Hopefully he is ready to go tonight!

danman31
Bull got hit pretty damn hard, as expected. I just don't see why the Sox picked now to promote him.
Jordan4life_2007
How does a guy with an era over 6 "probably much higher now" get promoted?
southsider2k5
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 03:01 AM) How does a guy with an era over 6 "probably much higher now" get promoted? It was a doubleheader and they needed an arm, Bull was on the right schedule. It happens.
danman31
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) It was a doubleheader and they needed an arm, Bull was on the right schedule. It happens. Should have sent Heath Phillips up, he was on schedule and dominating AA since he got demoted. Of course he ended up getting rocked last night too. danman31
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Has Jim been in the rotation since he got back from injury? Maybe they didn't want to disrupt the Bham rotation?? Yes. He pitched June 10th when he came back from the DL and got rocked (1.2 IP, 8 R) in support of Sean Tracey, who also got rocked on that day. Then on the 16th he started, going 3.2 IP and giving up 5 runs.
