mreye
The game preview from CBS sportsline: http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/gamecenter/p...0050624_CHC@CHW No t much has changed since the first Windy City series this season. The Chicago White Sox are still the best team in baseball and the crosstown rival Cubs are battling to stay above .500. The White Sox look to extend their latest winning streak to eight games as they host the Cubs in the opener of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field. Despite their major league-leading 49-22 record, however, the White Sox still trail the Cubs in popularity in Chicago, as evidenced by their attendance figures. The White Sox had drawn 885,906 through Tuesday night's game, an average of 24,609 per home contest. The Cubs, who are just two games above .500 and 8½ games behind St. Louis in the NL Central, have already drawn 1,354,376, an average of 37,622 per game. More at link. southsider2k5
That's a great preview. I mean you could have talked about the rivalry, or the players, or the injuries, or the history, or the best team in baseball, but attendance... yeah that makes a difference. I sure hope one of these years we win the World Series of Attendance. That trophy is priceless.
SoxFan1
That is some bulls***. If attendance is the only thing they got on us, which it is, they can shove it right up there asses. This author is a dumbass Cub fan....pathetic.

nvxplorer
Wow! Now that's news. The fact that the Cubs draw more than the Sox has been the best kept secret in baseball. Kudos to CBS for enlightening the baseball world. Gimme a f***in break.
