greg775
Great win today obviously. Congrats Freddie, et all. Our victory followed a bandwagon column by the guy in the Sun Times. He wrote: "It should be clear by now that Guillen's feistiness has a magical effect on the Sox while only magnifying the woe-is-me slumber of Baker." A lot of us were saying weeks ago when Mariotti was telling him to stifle, that Ozzie's personality might be why we are actually winning just about every series and are on an amazing winning pace. Now he writes this?? I say: "Quit changing your mind, Jay! You are a gifted writer but quit bandwagonizing. You can't say Ozzie needs to shut his fricking mouth for a couple weeks then COMPLETELY change your position!" p.s. Keep Joe Crede, Kenny. He is a stud. Jabroni
p.s. Keep Joe Crede, Kenny. He is a stud. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's acceptable because of his power numbers and defense. He's not a stud though.

greg775
I've always liked, more than disliked, him because of his defense. It's nice having a vacuum at third after so many years of shoddy White Sox defense throughout history.
Yossarian
They're 50-22 and he's helping the cause. This is a whole is bigger than the sum of its parts team. Let's enjoy them a little.

Adam G
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) I enjoy the white sox I enjoy crede defense I dont however enjoy his offense He's gonna probably hit .240, but with 20 homers and 70 RBIs. That's more than acceptable for a 7th or 8th place hitter, especially when you consider his defense.
FLsouthsider
Mariotti is a gifted writer? Since when? He must have a horribly aligned spine with all the time he spends twisting in the wind. Mariotti is a blowhard, nothing more, nothing less.
nvxplorer
QUOTE(FLsouthsider @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) Mariotti is a gifted writer? Since when? He must have a horribly aligned spine with all the time he spends twisting in the wind. Mariotti is a blowhard, nothing more, nothing less. I was waiting for someone to say it. Mariotti's rhetoric is so flowery, it makes him look like a pansy.
