black jack
this game is fast, very fast. rb's do some serious damage and the back juke is deadly when used right. it seems like online play has a real monentum factor now. my first two games, once someone scores and makes a few big plays..the cpu just piles it on, leading to big blowouts. i've had multiple picks for td's and am averaging about 200 yards rushing even in blowout loses. i thought i just sucked, but after playing the same guys over again, i blew them out. my only real gripe right now is the shadows. when a player or ball enters them, you lose track of both immediately. looks like a lot of night games! i've only encountered the shadows in florida...unfortunately everyone online is a florida school right now. SnB
glad to hear the game is fast because last year's version was god awfully slow. I'm sorry but i don't need a 5 second cutscene of nothing after every play.

BTW tonight's Sox game just makes me want this game more.
black jack
let me check the ea tracks. there is an option to turn the college bands back on and i did, so i don't know off hand. wait one.
black jack
there isn't an option (that i can find anyway) for editing your ea tracks...turning certain songs on and off. just the whole thing..ea tracks or bands when you switch them back and forth it does play a song. here's what i saw on there: de la soul (me myself and i) no fx superchild guided by voices mt experience jaw breaker pixies lush clash (train in vain) it's neat. when you first turn it on you get a THX sign and the noise like a dvd or film. then when you reach the menu it shows actual gamefilm/highlights. this game rocks. takes some getting used to, but man is it fun. haven't played any race for heisman (except for creating my character) or dynasty since i'm waiting for my rosters. I'm sorry but i don't need a 5 second cutscene of nothing after every play. when i say fast, i mean the gameplay itself. it's like 05 on speed. there's still cutscenes. but the speed of the game is crazy fast. it forces you to take the proper angles to tackle, one miss and the kid is gone! #3 on FSU is a madman. he's run all over me quite a few times, but he always winds up fumbling at the worst times...leading to a few last second wins for me and the irish. bty-darius walker is awesome in the game. SnB
QUOTE(black jack @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) when i say fast, i mean the gameplay itself. it's like 05 on speed. there's still cutscenes. are the cutscenes like in 04 where you could press X and skip them or are they like they were in 05 and they make you sit through them?
black jack
you cannot skip the cutscenes. BUT they're only about 2.5 seconds long now....i counted the long ball is still kinda easy to complete online, not for me, but against me! I have to set it up with play action, but my cb's suck. User picks are a lot easier too! And guys that drop back 15 + yards in the pocket are dead meat. The DE's are killer too. It appears that the OT's will block a DE around the qb creating as much as a pocket as I've seen on an EA football game. Scrambling qb's can still dance around, but Brady Quinn is dead meat! You can now just press the green (a) button on xbox to qb scramble. instead of bringing the passing cursers up and down no receiver is marked a.
