DonkeyKongerko
QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Harris hasn't even had a chance to steal. He stole second but it wasn't exciting enough to report.

Guest JimH
1 freaking hit... that is pathetic <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In front of a full house too. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. So I presume that inning is over?

fathom
I was one of the people who was most against playing Everett in the field, but if Rowand continues to struggle vs RHP, I have no problem with Everett in LF, and Pods in CF against tough righties. Tadahito15
Well, our lead on Twins is down to 9.5, 10.5 on Cleveland. We have looked plain AWFUL today. Inexcusable play. I expect us to play hard the rest of this week against Detroit and Co. after another off day tomorrow. This type of play makes me feel sick. Milkman delivers
I never thought I'd see a 2 run deficit against the Cubs' bullpen as impossible to overcome, but Todd Hollandsworth could pitch two more perfect innings of relief if he wanted to. Everett may not have good numbers vs. Prior but he's a guy who battles at the plate.
whitesoxmanager
QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Absolutely no reason to be 1st pitch swinging there. Another mistake, they are beating themselves. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that sure is true...why do hitters think that a pitcher who just walked someone is due to throw a first pitch strike? especially how badly he was missing... Flash Tizzle
I thought yesterday was Corpseball until this game. Honestly, this is pathetic. Garland deserves better from our offense. I wouldn't be surprised to see this team enter a funk now. It's just terrible viewing this game. If we were to come back and win, I wouldn't change my attitude one bit. whitesoxmanager
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) This looks like the Sox of 2004. Score 12 runs in the first game of a series, 2 in the second, and get shut out in the last. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that is exactly my point!

If we were to come back and win, I wouldn't change my attitude one bit. We're not going to continue to play terrible teams like KC every game where all we have to do is score 2 or more runs, and it's a likely win. I hate the balance that we have in this lineup today, with basically no power, but a lot of speed in the 9-1-2 guys, and the opposite for the rest of the hitters. I'd like to see a little more balance throughout the order.
