FlaSoxxJim
I guess "We don't negotiate with terrorists" is another one to cross off in the Big Book of Bush Bulls***... http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=883044 There are a couple of good ones in here, too. Ansar al-Sunnah, which has carried out suicide bombings in Iraq and killed 22 people in the dining hall of a U.S. base at Mosul last Christmas. Sounds like terrorists... Two others were Mohammed's Army and the Islamic Army in Iraq, which in August reportedly killed Italian journalist Enzo Baldoni, the newspaper said. Sounds like terrorists... One of the Americans at the talks introduced himself as a Pentagon representative and declared himself ready to "find ways of stopping the bloodshed on both sides and to listen to demands and grievances [OF THE TERRORISTS]," The Sunday Times said. Sounds like negotiation.
kapkomet
So if we enter into talks with North Korea, we're negotiating with terrorists there, too, aren't we? There's no winning with anyone.
mreye
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 07:33 AM) There's no winning with anyone. No, only certain people.
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) So if we enter into talks with North Korea, we're negotiating with terrorists there, too, aren't we? There's no winning with anyone. That's the point - that the world is not as black and white as the Administration paints it. 'You're either with us or against us'... 'we don't negotiate with terrorists'.... It's all bulls*** cowboy rhetoric that has very little bearing on reality.
kapkomet
Every president says what they want, when they want. It's not just our "cowboy" president.
Rex Kickass
You're right, but it's still wrong.
kapkomet
I think Washington, DC is 99.9% wrong.
CanOfCorn
By making overarching statements like those...it just breeds more contempt for the government and its officers. It's about time we got someone in there who is looking out for the best interests of the country...not their party or themselves.

This country is attached to special interest's balls.
