Last one, I promise

I know we're ready to forget the Cubs and move on toward the all star break, but this is my last Cub related post, I promise.

Last night, I was listening to the Score briefly and the guys on there had a question for both Cubs and Sox fans. The questions were based on these stereotypes of both fan bases:

Cub fans- are fans of Wrigley Field more than fans of the Cubs.

Sox fans- have an inferiority complex from Cubs fans.

So here are the questions:

Would Cub fans give up seeing the Cubs at Wrigley for a WS victory? In other words, starting now, the Cubs would play at another park permanently, but would win the WS this year.

Would Sox fans be OK with losing the WS to the Cubs this year, if it meant we won the next 2, BUT neither of those 2 would be against the Cubs?

Answer the 2nd one.

If it meant winning the World Series, I don't care. Even if it were losing to the Cubs and winning only one WS, it wouldn't matter... A World Series title is a championship no matter who you beat.

I'd take the 2 wins for the one loss, but that would be a hell of a year to have to put up with.

I would definatly take 2 rings for one loss.....but I agree that would be one hellish year until we took over the reign......

No. The Sox have to win a World Series before the Cubs. That's just all there is to it.

So I guess my opinion differs from yours'. I do not want to lose to the Cubs in the series.

Yeah, I would probably die before see that. Good thing there is no way in hell the Cubs win it this year.

Thing is, life doesn't work in deals like this. I want my team to win and now. The fun would be ruined if I knew the Sox were to win the next 2.

If the Sox two WS wins sandwiched the other team's win, I could deal with that. Every one of us would hear all about it for that whole year if the Flubs won the WS first, and I'd really prefer not to have to put up with gloating from Flub fans.

I agree. I don't even live in Chicago and wouldn't have to put up with half as much crap as you guys would. I just don't want to hear the trash that would be spewing from the cubs mouths for a very long time. God, that would be one long year. And can you imagine the media? Cubs this cubs that. I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it. I'm sorry but under no circumstances should the Cubs or Rangers win a World Series, and I feel that way all because of the fans of those respective teams.
