BuehrleTheAce
to 51-24! Nice grinding, hard work game! This team can win in so many different ways, I love it!
SoxFan1
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) Buerhle vs Willis will (or should) be your 2005 all-star game starters. Other Sox pitchers that SHOULD be there: Garland, Hermanson, Pollite and possibly Garcia SHOULD does not include Garcia....no chance. 4 out of 12 would be hard enough in itself. 5 is pushing it. GreatScott82
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 02:06 AM) No to Garcia, there are pitchers having much better seasons. yeah i figured. but if a pitcher goes down- he can be a possible option as a reserve. It looks like we won't have any possition players at the mid-summer classic. There is a possible chance Podsednick and Konerko can make it, but I highly doubt it. You could argue that Politte is also deserving but he won't get in because he's a middle reliever.

Igushi should have been but he has been down this month. The "Soxtalk Wallpaper Curse" It happened to Rowand and Iguchi. Make one of Timo next month Goldie! iWiN4PreP
Who would go in front of konerko? Teixera as starter Then Kevin Millar? Tino Martinez? Richie Sexson? IMO konerko is there easily...
GreatScott82
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 02:09 AM) Buehrle, Garland, and Hermanson. You could argue that Politte is also deserving but he won't get in because he's a middle reliever. That sucks- how the hell did Flash Gordon make it last year? Oh yea because Torre was the freaking manager. Every year there is about 6 yankees. This year there should be only 3 because of the popularity vote. No yankee deserves to be an allstar this year. Kalapse
I doubt Hermanson makes it either. It really depends on what he does the over the next 2 weeks. 100% Chance: Buehrle, Garland 75% Chance: Hermanson, Konerko 50% Chance: Podsednik 25% Chance: Politte, Podsednik 10% Chance: Everett Edited June 29, 2005 by Kalapse

S720
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) Check Halladay's wins too. Why should I urge him because he plays on my favorite team? Or because I like the most deserving player to get the knod. Go root for the Jays then Kalapse! Your obsession with Halladay is getting tiring! Everybody else, let's enjoy this win. Tino Martinez or Millar will likely be the backup, though I do think Pauly has a great chance considering how his stats are far better than both of them. Thats what i was thinking. Tino will win the highschool popularity contest, but Pauly just might win the managerial vote to be the backup 1B. The popularity vote is only based on the starters not the backups.

Yes, it has something to do with being a DAMN homer. Go ahead and be honest with yourself. Go root for the Jays. See if anyone cares! If you are a fan, you should not put down Buerhle like you've done, especially after his win. I know if you have a choice, you would pick Holladay over Buerhle. Me, without a doubt Buerhle. Go Buerhle...

PK's HR's and RBI's get him in as a reserve amd Hermanson's ERA and saves gets him in. Politte needs to continue on at his stellar pace and Podsednik needs to raise his AVG and SB to get in. Everett is a long shot. Iguchi gets in if they take 3 2B (Roberts, Soriano, Gooch) or if 1 of them is hurt.

I'm not saying what you want to here, I looked at the stats I see Halladay having a better season than one of my alltime favorite players and I feel that the pitcher having the better season should be recognized for that. s***, I would love to see Buerhle start the AS game but I am a huge perponent of having the best player start in the AS game. I guess wanting the best player to be awarded for their play makes me a lesser fan than you huh.
GreatScott82
i say 80% Pauly makes the all-star team. remember- they love powerhitters for the homerun derby- and PK will fit that bill mighty well.

It screwed up his swing in 2003.
