Anyone notice lately that Pods has been swinging a lot more freely, instead of taking pitches and working a count? Hope the disease isn't spreading to him.

As of last week, he had walked like 3 times in his previous 24 games. He's been a little more effective lately at drawing walks, but he's still a lot different at the plate than he was earlier in the year.

The same five people that said "Game Over" when Politte loaded the bases in the 8th would say it before he gave up the run in the inning he just got out of.

Yet, when the bases were loaded and Politte was pitching with no outs, I didn't see anyone saying that he would get out of it. It's nice when you just don't say anything and use hindsight, isn't it?

67 at-bats in april he had 11 walks.

102 walks in may and he had 12 walks.

75 at-bats in june and 7 walks.

Not a good sign.

Who gives a damn?

It's a lot better to say nothing at all rather than, "Oh, this game is over" -- and I'm 100% positive that the posters who've been here for a while would agree.
