.176 baa lefties for Stanton as well.  He has been very good against lefties but ssi71 does make a good point as well.

He will have to face a righty. We see this when Marte or Cotts comes in. They pinch hit righties against both of them. And their splits against righties are a lot better than Stanton. PASS.

I guess Stanton would never get any better against righties, huh? Look at what he did last season...

He is a lot better pitcher than what he has shown with the Yankees this season.

There goes my plan for trading Marte.

We all saw this coming over the weekend. He was doing that rotating his arm like he was in discomfort crap.

This might be his swan song though. They went through this in Colorado when he didnt tell him he was hurt and risked it in a game. This would be the second time he pulled this.

How about making a trade for Kent Mercker

yeah i am sure Mercker would love to make his return trip to Chicago. Maybe him and stoney can get together and sing kumbayah.

I would almost bet my left nut that Kenny is going to get Stanton now.

What makes you think Stanton would want to come here? remember when Marte is healthy again he is the 3rd lefty out of the pen, and won't have much of a role as a lefty specialist for the Sox.

I wasn't one of them, but what's wrong with that? You can't root for a guy and then after he s***s the mound a few times say he shouldn't be here any more?  Why not? I think we all root for every Sox player, don't we?

i wasnt one of them either. all im sayin is ppl overreact. yeah i think baj or jenks or even sanders should get called up first, but i also understand that walker has mlb experience and is a lefty. walker gave up 4 runs against anaheim and i believe that was teh only poor outing he had. and now people treat him like he is the second coming of cade mcnown . yeah he has a 5+ era at charlotte, but do any of us know how he threw the ball? one bad outing can ruin a short relievers ERA. people on this site dont know how to look at numbers. they look at the final numbers and base their opinions from those. like everyone wants to say viz "wets teh bed" but what they cant comprehend is if ozzie didnt leave viz out to dry vs. cle. and he threw only 1 ER instead of 6, his ERA would be 3.8 and everyone would be fine with him. but apparently because ozzie left him out there to throw 60 some pitches, he suddenly needs to wear huggies when he goes to the mound. get real people and look at it how it is. walker might not be the best choice, but dont s*** a brick cuz hes being called up.

Not to mention we will be more than likely making a trade for a bullpen arm this month, and Wahla, he's out of a job again.

Since when is Cotts a lefty specialist? He is worse against lefties than righties. Marte is the only guy close to a lefty specialist that we have out of the bullpen and he is now on the DL.

What if he doesn't come back, needs surgery? Stanton is probably in the last year of baseball. The real thing is do we think we can squeeze three months out of the guy.
