bjm676
BTW, that was Freddy's 1st CG in a White Sox uniform.
SoxFan1
Buehrle, Garland, Hermy, Politte, Garcia.....all worthy of All-Star appearances. All NOT gonna make it.
greasywheels121
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) The sox are so good they are almost boring at this point, if you know what i mean. I know this isn't what you mean, but I must say, I won't get tired of winning.

Yeah, nor will I. It's just that you look up at the end of the game and the Sox just pounded your ass again, in a very takin-care-of-business fashion. I know we've had some dramatic wins, but this team just pounds teams into the ground.
nvxplorer
With the Angels giving up 18 runs today (last I checked), it's safe to say the Sox pitching staff leads baseball in ERA again.

Rowand44
Every single time this team has had a bad series, they just come right back and kick some ass, really amazing!!!!!!!!!!
SoxFan1
QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) With the Angels giving up 18 runs today (last I checked), it's safe to say the Sox pitching staff leads baseball in ERA again. Let's see. 1 run, 3 runs, 1 run, and 2 runs given up in the last 4 games. EDIT: Let's expand: 1, 3, 1, 2, 6, 2, 1, 1 8, 3, 3, 0 in the last 12 games. That is so f***ing awesome. WHarris1
Huge outing by Freddy to save the taxed bullpen.

Haven't you heard, that doesn't matter because our offense sucks -- just check the game thread.
johndyce
I knew Freddy was going to have a big game when he struck the one dude out in the first on three straight sick-looking curveballs, and struck the next guy out on 2 curves and the gas. WHarris1
I would just like to add... I guarantee there will be pitchers chosen to the All-Star team with worse numbers than Garcia.

If we do that, it's definitely our year. Hopefully, we have a different umpiring crew than the last time we're at that place.
SnB
We talk about sweeps like they're nothing this year. This is something special.

elrockinMT
I usually don't brag, but I told Freddie in a thread here that he needed to bear down from the start of the game and get people out. I also urged the Sox hitters to produce. Thank you very much...
Texsox
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) Freddy is making his case to be an All-Star... 8-3 with a 3.29 ERA Another good outing before the break and he's in. Possibly he deserves it, but I don't see three starters from the Sox on the team.

True. But we will not have 3 starting pitchers. It will be Garland and/or Buehrle. That may be it. If we have a third rep, then it will be Hermanson. I guess we'll just have to wait until Sunday. Then we can debate about who got screwed.
