Milkman delivers
QUOTE(Spiff @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Uribe's swing is like Happy Gilmore's golf swing. But I don't care cause he plays a hell of a shortstop. He's no Omar Vizquel, but I'll take him. Contreras...
Guest JimH
Pierzynski needs to get Contreras in a rhythm.

Brian
Are noisemakers allowed at baseball games? That has to be a distraction to Jose, whomever has that air horn and blowing it as he delivers.
Spiff
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Yeah, but do you realize how many runs this team could score per game if Uribe could just find what he had the first 2 or 3 months las tyear? I do, but until it happens I'm happy with the amount of runs he saves per game.

Balta1701
He threw Chavez a strike and Chavez beat him...I can't complain, at least he threw him a strike. He keeps throwing strikes, we'll win this game. That's all that matters. Good work on Hatteburg. Pop up foul to Crede on the forkball, 1 down. Another nice thing to note - the A's almost never are going to try to steal, so that's 1 less thing to worry about with Jose. Maybe it'll help him focus on throwing strikes. Spiff
The noisemaker might actually be screwing up the A's hitters more than Contreras. But if I was in the guy's section I'd tell him to knock it off.
Guest JimH
Sox got screwed on that one, Kielty went around. No harm he gone.
Rowand44
Kielty gets an extra swing but Jose pitches over it, great job. Edited July 2, 2005 by Rowand44

Guest JimH
They need to get Contreras to throw that fastball above the letters, he would be deadly if he'd work up and down in the zone vs. what he usually does ... in and out. He has the velocity to do it too.
