Ootp league.

Recommended Posts

Willie and i are starting an ootp league.Rosters are as of june 29 including draft picks signed at that point and all the free agents signed int he off season.

We will of course need 30 teams and will not be starting until we have filled all thirty teams. Aim is a must to be apart of this league. Reason being it is the easiest way talk trades with other gms and trades are a large part of the fun. It will also come in handy if you would like one of us to just make a minute change to your roster. Roster changes such as line-ups, minors league line-ups, players being sent up and down can either be sent through pm's or email.

My email is [email protected].

Willie's email is [email protected].

We will be simming twice a week, mondays and thursdays. We will need any roster changes turned in before 12 noon of that day.

There are only four teams taken at this point but i have a good amount of people in mind that will return from the last soxtalk league.

Cardinals = qwerty.

Athletics = willie.

Pirates= danman.

Brewers = rowand44.

If interested pm myself or willie. The sooner we can fill this league up the quicker we can get set-up and start the league.

One question...

How is the financial structure of the league going to be setup? Basically, are you going to set it up that each team gets the same amount to spend and that just like fan support brings in money, or are you going to set it up as the current MLB is where teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Angels can just outspend everybody?

That decision would mean a lot to me.

I have a few teams in mind that I'd like, but that question above is something that I would need answered.

Just from past experiences of Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs going nuts in Free Agency I was thinking of going with a salary cap.

How would that sound to everyone.

I don't think it would make too much difference if we were able to come up with a better free agency method. Multiple teams can make bids to players in OOTP and there are at least 2 sessions of free agency. I was thinking we just let the players decide like they would in real life instead of just the guy going to the highest bidder.

no way you guys are gonna get 30 GM's from soxtalk, no way.

Custom leagues are better anyways.

But for this, if it does happen, I"ll take Arizona

We've done it before.
