whitesoxin'
How long does inflamation usually keep you down for? It's not that long usually IIRC.

3E8
What if this prevents him from getting 100 rbi yet again? He'd have to be out for a long while.

He'd have it already if the Cubs had some sort of a resemblance of a lead-off man.
Nokona
Day to Day in terms of the Cubs training staff is more like Year to Year.

Their season was over the minute they started shooting for the Wild Card with half the season left to go. Houston is getting all set to make their annual second half run and betwen them and Milwaukee they are gonna leave the Flubbs to cry in their Old Style. f*** THE CUBS!!!! Their season was done before it started. It's kinda said if Lee has to miss anytime. I have to admit, I wouldn't mind him getting the triple crown as long as the Flubs are nowhere near the playoffs. If Lee wins the triple crown I will congratulate him profusely then remind the moron who tries to equate that with winning the series of the last time the f***ing scrubs won the series and ask them if anyone won the triple crown since then. Rowand44
Tough break for Dlee, he's a great player and actually one of the players on the cubs with some class. I wish him the best.
bjm676
He still could play in the ASG: Lee should be OK for Motown Despite resting Wednesday, All-Star Game start still likely ATLANTA -- Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee did not start Wednesday night because of inflammation in his left shoulder, but the soreness was not expected to keep him out of next Tuesday's All-Star Game. Lee underwent an MRI on his shoulder Wednesday and was examined by Atlanta Braves orthopedic specialist Dr. Joe Chandler. Cubs athletic trainer Mark O'Neal said the MRI showed Lee had some joint inflammation in his shoulder, but nothing more serious than that. Yoda
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) Tough break for Dlee, he's a great player and actually one of the players on the cubs with some class. I wish him the best. Very well said. I have nothing against Derek Lee. The man helped the Marlins defeat the Cubs back in '03. It sure as hell wasn't his fault that he got traded. He is having a magical year and then this happens. This is how baseball is though.
