Winning Ugly
Anyone hear our two aces together on the Dan Patrick show today? I don't care too much for Patrick, but it's all I get at work. Anyways, all the questions he asked the two (the Kenny Rogers all-star deal, who should start the all-star game, all-star snubs) were answered in a "politically correct" boring way. They had Mark Tex on before them from the Rangers and he was helluva lot more entertaining. Where's the excitement, fellas? All signs point to the playoffs and you act like it's no big deal what's happening on the South Side of Chicago... greasywheels121
Carl Everett plays for the White Sox, and Ozzie Guillen's our manager. Edited July 6, 2005 by greasywheels121

greasywheels121
QUOTE(Winning Ugly @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) When did I mention crazy Carl? I thought this was directed at the players, not the posters: Where's the excitement, fellas? All signs point to the playoffs and you act like it's no big deal what's happening on the South Side of Chicago... I'm more than excited, if it is directed at us. Nokona
Garland doesn't look like he breathes sometimes let alone talks. Buerhle usually keeps to his own unless it involves the Cubs or the Cards. He's just a modest guy.
Rowand44
Garland is always laid back and usually a boring interview and Mark probably didn't want to say anything controversial because of how the "Maddux" thing blew up. But I say to this whole thread, who cares Edited July 6, 2005 by Rowand44
PutItOnTheBoard
QUOTE(Nokona @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) Garland doesn't look like he breathes sometimes let alone talks. Buerhle usually keeps to his own unless it involves the Cubs or the Cards. He's just a modest guy. these guys are just a couple of down to earth dudes.....they know the team hasnt really done anything yet and i think thats why they dont give too much emotion or show too much happiness or excitement.......believe me when it comes down to it and we clinch the division i'm sure you'll see and hear a little more emotion from both of them
knightni
Yeah. Buehrle has not said much since the "Maddux" incedent. I think he has been told to STFU and answer questions PC-like from now on.

wsox08
QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:32 PM) Yeah. Buehrle has not said much since the "Maddux" incedent. I think he has been told to STFU and answer questions PC-like from now on. I think Buehrle decided to only talk to the media about things on the days he starts or after he makes a start, just so he doesn't get in "trouble"
YASNY
I'm sure these guys were just being careful. Mark certainly hasn't been shy about picking the mic and urging Sox fans to vote for Pods.
Jordan4life_2007
Mark and Jon can be as dull as they want, long as they keep pitching like ace's.
