hmm that pitched looked like willies also but konekro gets walked

For both pitchers, the ump has been calling the outside strike against lefties, but not against righties. Garland has had the same strike zone as Saarloos.

Yeah the A's have just been able to find more holes

I'm a Willie fan, I think he can be a very useful player, but those were two terrible ABs.

He did a good job taking pitches letting Scott get into second, but after that his approach was very questionable.

In the first AB, up 2-0 in the count with Pods on second. The first pitch he sees is high and outside. -- No reason to swing at that, you can't hook it , or put it on the ground. -- Result flyout to left.

In the second AB, up 3-0 in the count with Pods on second. The first pitch he sees is a sinker on the inside corner. He's either going to pound it into the ground to the 1B or foul -- SWING you dips***. -- The second pitch he sees is another sinker middle in. Swing and you put that one in play on the right side 80% of the time. Willie takes both pitches (was he hoping Scott would take third?) He fouled off one more. then struck out looking on a close pitch. But you can't take those first two strikes.

Willie's being in the line-up in the 2 hole has cost the White Sox 2 runs so far tonight. I think he is probably punching his ticket to Charlotte.

well I've heard Charlotte's nice this time of year, and besides, Willie is more of an East-coast guy anyway.

Not on any planet is someone with a .540 OPS a number 2 hitter. For someone that shortens up to bunt as much as Willie does, it's amazing that he's 0-2 in getting the guy over to 3rd with less than 2 outs. If Pods gets on base again, we need to push the issue, and do a hit-and-run.

He really will be big league in Charlotte. Does Willie get to fly to Charlotte first class or do they put him in coach?

You were wondering about the Sunday line-up record earlier. I believe they are 4-8 on Sunday.

Willie will like Charlotte. The groupies are easier in the minors a lot of the time than they are in the majors.

nice catch by paulie, hes flashing those defensive all star skills, now he needs to show his hitting

Konerko is a middle of the pack defender, alot better first baseman than him and we have one in our minors currently. He picks balls out of the dirt very well but cannot move for anything out of his reach ( most times). Gload> konerko.

Thanks. For a team with the record we have, that's unbelievable. Our record on some nights must be damn impressive.
