Why, Street wasn't drafted to be a closer right away. Anyways, I just wanted to confirm that he was still around. Not complaining, don't worry kalapse.

Timo was 3 for 4, so I wouldnt get on Timo. However, Harris could not get a damn thing done tonight.

O well, back to 30 GAMES ABOVE .500

Remember Timo's baserunning in the Sixth and he swung and ball 4 and 5 in the eigth.

We need a backup, lefty infielder that can actually hit tough, RHP pitching. Oh wait, that's right, we have Gload in the minors. Not a chance in hell Crede should have been batting against someone who is so tough against righty hitters. Crede and back problems are a recipe for some awful hitting.

It wont get easier with Zito and Haren, it think today was our best bet with Sarrloos pitching.  Zito always seems to dominate us and Haren is pitching really good right now.

Have the Sox ever seen Haren before?

I absolutely agree with you. Makes the whole "sunday lineup" even more puzzling to me. For the life of me, I don't know why Ozzie let Willie bat in the 8th. He has to know that he had no confidence at the plate.

I don't like to settle, but we don't play Oakland the rest of the season, lets get one win out of this weekend, and just be happy this A's team won't be in the playoffs.

In a worst case scenario, if we get swept going into the ASB, and the Twins win their next 2 games, we'd be up 8 games going into the break. That's a very big lead, but by no means, would the race be over. It just seems like if we did get swept by the A's, we wouldn't have a ton of momentum heading into the ASB. We have a very tough 4 game series at Cleveland after the break, and we could very possibly see our lead down to 5 within a week if we don't play good that week.
