When getting everyday playing time Willie was batting around .300ish with a good OBP... than Valentin came back from DL and Uribe was favored over Willie and Willie slowly declined but still was decent.

no actually what happened was that Uribe was put at 2B and Harris took Rowands spot in CF. Rowand got screwed not Harris.

Timo's OPS is 90 points higher than Willie's right now.    :o There is no God!

I'd rather have a guy who has a better chance to get on-base off the bench...

Funny, you weren't here when Harris was hitting over .300 -- it's pretty easy to rip on a guy when he's slumping, too.

If you like Timo or Willie in this starting lineup your a tard.

This cracked me up. Mostly for the grammar mistake, but oh man, wiping tears from my eyes. . .

With a bat coming off the bench, you need clutch hits. For some of you it's hard to believe that there is a difference between a walk and a single. All Harris had to do yesterday was move Podsednik over to third, but he couldn't do that. Who gives a s*** about his OBP (.301 isn't impressive anyways) if he can't even move the runner over? But that kind of stuff doesn't show up in the box score, so I assume you don't care about it then.

I know Timo sucks, but Harris has been so bad lately he has become the #1 canidate to leave this team once Gload comes back.

To be fair...one of the reasons Harris struggled last year was that he was also hurt in the collision with Ordonez.

Anywho...no excuse at all for last night. NONE AT ALL. It's very hard for me to say this and believe it...but if Iguchi plays last night, we win that game.

Willie Harris has 2 uses for this team in my opinion; spelling Iguchi if he's tired or injured, and late-inning pinch running. The latter can be useful, but Ozzie never really makes use of it (especially since he can't run for Konerko without Gload up).

I could live with Ozuna being backup for 3b, SS, and 2b, but I'd be worried about it a lot...we've already seen 1 time this year where both Uribe and Iguchi have gone down (along with Ozuna too)...I don't like the idea of only 1 guy backing up 3 positions like that. Especially since it seems that both Uribe and Crede might have some back problems.

But damn, if Harris can't make a single damn productive out...what choice do we have but to replace him?

Timo was good yesterday, but what has he done earlier in the season to warrant staying up here? I'm not gonna make up my mind based on one game, and Timo was pretty not-clutch this year -- other than Frank's first game back, which, if Harris doesn't draw the walk, Perez doesn't get the opportunity.

We have more depth in the OF, too -- and Harris plays much better defense at a more important defensive position (2B as opposed to LF). Regardless of last night's game, I still think Perez should go down.

And, Perez hasn't been so clutch this year -- I couldn't find the stats, but I just found 'em. With RISP, he's 3-for-17, and in late innings, he's 2-for-8. I'm not going to judge him on 25 combined ABs. But he didn't even get on-base at a .300 clip last year (waits for the clutch stats), and that -- well, it downright sucks.
