What is the price of gasoline near you?

I had to fill-up on Friday, but when I saw the price I wanted to wait a day or two to see if the price came down at least a little bit. No such luck so I filled up yesterday after Church :crying. I use 87 octane and it was $2.459 a gallon (I really hate that nine at the end - why not just bump it up to the nearest whole penny?!). I think the 93 octane was around $2.759 a gallon. :puke

Getting used to it as there is not much I can do about it at this time.

So what is the price in your neighborhood?

I admit the prices SUCK! But let's have fun, let's have one of our UK folk tell us their prices!!!

My dad always talks about the price of petro (sp?) back in Ireland (before he came here). When my aunt and uncle were here on a visit from Ireland, they were talking about the price of gas there and here and how they were used to high prices.

$2.63 or so here, but then again, look at where I'm typing at.

See, this is why my only transportation is a bicycle.

If you're crying paying $2.25, be worried, because it's a lot more likely to go up in the next 10 years than it is to go down. And up by a lot too.

$2.19

Keep in mind that we are paying a huge amount of tax on the gas. It's the ultimate user tax.

In Illinois you are paying

$0.184 Federal

$0.19 State

Plus any city or county taxes added.

Remember when Ross Perot was pining for a 50 cent increase in the federal gas tax?

I wonder how well that would have gone over today.

:D

He would have asked for $1.00 today.
