alexgtp
WOW. BUerhle was amazing.. Garland was so-so. NOw here is the funny thing.. TWINS best pitcher Santana was very shaky last night his changeup was horrible..last night Twins closer Nathan pitched terrible..located everything down the plate..with minimal velocity Indians Wickman.. pithced terrible also and had bad location and ball control..last night. NOw if this is what we have to face in or division than I am confident about out pitching staff..and our offense..

Balance
That, and every hitter they faced was an all-star....
SoxFanForever
1 Inning of 1 exhibition game means absolutely nothing in the long run.
Balta1701
Also don't forget...it's them pitching 1 inning, in most cases out of the bullpen. Aside from Nathan, none of the others are acclimated to that. And on top of that, pitching against a bunch of All stars has a tendency to make everyone look bad. tonyho7476
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) 1 Inning of 1 exhibition game means absolutely nothing in the long run. Exhibition? I thought 'This time it counts'? Its no longer an exhibition...
ceffa2000
I try not to look at this game as a signal as to how someone will pitch the rest of the season. Short term memory: Clemens, 2004, 6 runs in the first inning. Has that ever happened to him in any other game in the last 4 years? It was great to see MB and JG get out unscathed but it was such a short amount of time against crazy lineups that it is too hard to judge. Milkman delivers
Wickman sucks and Nathas seems to be a one year wonder. It's not very surprising to me.
