The 2nd game of a 3 game set and gametime is set for 7:05 CT (pending weather) and the starters for "The Battle of the Southpaw's" are:

OAK: LHP Mark Mulder- 3-1, 3.71 ERA

CHI: LHP Mark Buehrle- 2-3, 3.38 ERA

Mulder is 2-0, with a 3.41 lifetime ERA vs. CHI, and Buehrle is 1-3, with a 3.86 lifetime ERA vs. OAK.

Carlos Lee is 4-for-11 with one home run and two RBIs against Mulder. ... Magglio Ordonez is 4-for-10 against Mulder, with two doubles, one home run and three RBIs. Look for Tony Graffanino to be in the lineup for a second straight night, as he is hitting .300 off Mulder. Paul Konerko, Sandy Alomar, Aaron Rowand and Joe Crede are a combined 0-for-18 vs. Mulder. The White Sox are hitting .318 as a team against left-handed pitchers. D’Angelo Jimenez is hitting .471 in 17 at-bats against lefties. ... Buehrle and Bartolo Colon combined to win 39 games last season. Barry Zito and Mulder, the A’s first two starters in the series, combined to win 42. Magglio Ordonez had his streak snapped of 23 consecutive games reaching base on Tuesday. Kelly Wunsch extended his hitless and scoreless streak to seven innings pitched over nine appearances. Aaron Rowand broke an 0-for-20 slump with an RBI-single in the fourth. Paul Konerko has hit safely in eight straight games (10-for-32). Colon made his fifth quality start Tuesday.

Weather: The temperature will be a nice 68 degrees but there is a 70% chance of thunderstorms!

Who's going tonight..? I think I'm supposed to meet Zach tonight.. and it looks like we're going to have a window from 7 to 9 that will be rain free. Mark better pitch his ass off.. and be quick about it!

I will be there. I will stop up by the fan deck and say hi in the top of the 2nd.

it is pouring right now, the game may not get in.

According to weather.com there is a 2 hour window from 7 to 9. I'm in Hillside and it's clear as can be moving towards the city.

Sing it with me boys... "rain, rain go away.... " :D

I live 10 minutes from the Cell and right now it's 5:23 and its clear. It hasn't rained since approx. 3:00 CT. So, it looks like this game will be on schedule. If it does start raining, guys who are going, stick in there, cuz this game will be played!

SF1, you live 10 minutes from the Cell?  I lived that close I'd be out there at least every other night.  I live 2172.24 miles from the yard.  I couldn't imagine living that close! :headbang

Yeah, for the trillionth time, I live 10 minutes from the Cell. I try to get as many games in as possible but Im only 13 and I am the only one (including my 9 yr old lil sis) that doesnt work. I get weekend games in all the time though. Weeknight games depend on if my dad gets home at or before 5:00. My mom works till 1 in the morning so she is excluded. So, yeah, I live 10 minutes from the Cell but I cant drive (which will be different in 2 years). When I get the chance I go, but the age and parent thing sucks! But hey, maybe 1 weekend, all of us that post here that live in Chicago (or in the area) can get together and bye tickets for 1 game. We could sit together and stuff. That would be fun!
